How good was Hector Camacho?

Great fighter. Not afraid of man or beast. He fought them all and beat most.

 

Very good fighter, fast. I like him

 

He'll get in but he died an active fighter so you'll have to wait until 2017 for the 5 year minimum.

 

I didnt like him groing up, because of the dislike my dad had for him ever since the Chapo fight. But after he showed a lot of heart in the Chavez fight, I became a fan. You also have to appreciate his charisma. He knew how to sell a fight. I think he was the first boxer that made ring entrances a spectacle.
Same with his clothes. He always put on a show at the press conferences. A lot of people that dont or didnt follow boxing know who Macho was.

Let me put it this way for these new boxing fans. if you are a fan of Khan cause of his speed, Maromero Paez or Naseem Hamed because of their ring entrances or admire boxers for their thougness then you would have love Hector.
He had good boxing skills, great combos, great jaw, accurate with his punches and excellent footwork. The only thing he was missing was power.
He also pretty much fought them all.
