A Netto version of Harada. Then again, Kobayashi (already beaten by Jiro) benefitted from that horrible run of lineal flyweight titlists. Big gangly bully who would fold when stood up to even by fighters of Katsumas level.

I thought he clearly won the first Poon fight, close as it was.

Watanabe oozed natural talent. Pity he didn't really give a fark.

 

It took him way too long to get going IMO. Poontarat likely deserved a knockdown as well.

Jiro sorted his **** out for the rematch, but I think he has too many frustrating showings. As you say, he didn't give a ****.

Been planning to watch some Watanabe fights for a while now. Any recommendations?

 

This would be a much easier question to answer if the fight vs. Khaosai Galaxy had actually happened.

At his best, probably in the top 5 best JBWs ever.
