Yet another reason why he's so great 18 years of dominance and still on top of the game with no real threats at those weights to fight.

that's why there is a smiley face by him....so don't get so up tight....and I just used total career.....prime or not...your career is your CAREER good and bad

and TINMAN...again ONE fight does not equate a WHOLE career! Plus like you said it was kind of unfair from jump

He would go on to outbox and then KO the best p4p fighter at that weight 2/3 years later if you're going to pick apart someone's wins like that you can do it to literally everyone.

I can say mab and Morales were shot when pac best them. Or Toney was weight drained and Hopkins green when Roy beat them. Etc.

JMM was only that great at 126-130. Pacquiao was also not that great above 130 either. Pacquiao does have a good win at 145 against Cotto. But that's about it.

An older Pacquiao at Welterweight isn't that great of a win.

The JMM win is widely considered tainted.

Well id say Floyd isn't close to prime above 140 either.

He didn't just beat JMM he embarrassed him. Made one of the greatest boxers of his era look like an amateur off of a 2 year layoff.

And as I said if you want to pick apart someone's wins you can do this to literally everyone.

He embarrassed him and he cheated. I didn't even get to that part yet. It's hard to give credit to a fighter when he cheated his opponent on the scales.

Floyd not being that great above 140 is irrelevant to the JMM fight. JMM at 146 is not a great victory, especially after cheating.

:think I believe the many, many accounts that say Langford gave him all he could handle despite the 40 lb weight disadvantage and that was why JJ ducked him for years on end and never once gave him a shot at the World HW Title.

You have rose colored glasses when it comes to Mayweather
Lets put his career into perspective.....

He was born with incredible natural boxing talents into a boxing family. Disfunctional but a family. He progressed through the amateur ranks to the Olympics. Floyd lost legitimately in the Olympics did not get gold He still claims he was robbed:|
Throughout his career he was carefully matched rarely taking any risks he got used to winning. He began to think he was God's gift to boxing & acted like a spoiled child at times
He now has a bogus record of 48-0 although to most people in boxing he has suffered at least 2 defeats one to Castillo & the other to Maidana in fight 1. His fight with Oscar was so close many called that at least a draw. To me his true record would be 45-2-1.
Had he not blatantly ducked fighters like Pacquaio, Margarito, Williams, Tszyu etc back in the day & gone ahead & fought them all he may well have beaten them all. Even if he lost a couple his legacy would be far superior to what it is today. Ali & Robinson had losses & they truly are TBE
The last few years Floyds partnership with Vegas/NSAC has bordered on suspect. He is given passes on things other fighters have been penalized for. In my honest personal opinion I do not think he will ever be allowed to lose there no matter what as was proved in the recent fight
Floyd yells & screams he is the TBE ROFLMAO He is nowhere near to being that & never will be. The sad part is He COULD HAVE BEEN!!!! With the talent he possesses if only he'd been given the heart & cojones of a champion . taken on all comers he could well be ranked up there with Ali & Robinson
As it stands the fighter of the era & the decade was Manny Pacquaio with Floyd trailing wayyy behind
These are just my own personal thoughts but I have had so many many people agree with me
    Have a great Day :hi:

After the Castillo fights Floyd was the path to pure greatness. He destroyed a very good Corrales. He beat JLC (barely), but with 1 arm. Then he avenged the possible loss with a outclassing of JLC, a very good fighter.

Then he took his foot off the pedal.

Back in 2002 it was hard to not like him.

Pac's career completely derailed after 135. Didn't see him do anything worthwhile.

Floyd is a top 15 ATG, Manny probably is top 50?! Maybe top 80 :deal

I would say that Pac accomplished little after 130 except for the Cotto and Bradley fights.

But at the lower weights he sealed his legacy. Barrera, Marquez, Morales and Ledwaba. Fought that them all.

Mayweather secured it throughout all weighs besides 140, clearly.

The Canelo win can turn into an ATG level win still :nod
