JMM is not greater than Pacquiao dude, No way. I can see an argument for Morales/Barrera, I think he's more skilled, but "greater", that's tough.

Oh really, Morales ducked JMM his entire career, Marquez beat Barrera and KO6 Pacquiao. JMM also challenged and fought a prime Mayweather unlike the other 3 who waited till he was a past prime 38 or never challenged him at all!

Pacturds constantly bring up Morales and Barrera when a better win would definitely be Marquez! JMM is clearly the superior fighter and we all know how Manny in 4 tries couldn't beat him convincingly! You know what fighter in Mexico is considered the best of the era...Marquez.. you dumb azz hats!

Yeah I watched it and Marquez clearly beat the always one dimensional flat footed, no defense Barrera..now do you want to go to Mexico and and claim MAB is better/greater than Marquez? I guarantee they educate your dumb azz on the superiority of JMM

Marquez being greater than Morales and MAB is certainly arguable. What the average person in Mexico thinks is irrelevant. Average person in Mexico probably thinks Canelo is better than JMM.

my top ten....i'm not an old guy...and i love the old timers, but i don't sentimentalize them...i've been around long enough to know that fighters, like artists are appreciated a whole lot more after their time....a lotta "great fighters" were dissed and disregarded during their era.

    1- floyd mayweather jr
    2- roy jones jr
    3- mike tyson
    4- muhammad ali
    5- sugar ray robinson
    6- bernard hopkins
    7- henry armstrong
    8-ezzard charles
    9-sugar ray leonard
    10- joe louis

there are some dudes that show up on every top ten listing (duran, pep, monzon)....for the life of me, i can't understand why. duran LOST to every top fighter he faced. Pep lost 3 of four to sandy sadler during his prime, so it shoudl really be sadler on those lists instead of pep....and monzon? really?...i rank him #5 among mw champs after rjj, srr, hagler and hopkins.

i'm not even gonna get into it about marciano.

i rank pep, monzon and duran in the top 40....marciano i the top 60.

Judging by your posts these are the only 3 fighters you know of.

the thing i remember about barrera was how he got ko'd by jr jones in the first fight and his corner looked for the dq instead, thinking it would look better on his record. of course, barrera still got beat up in the rematch.

marquez lost to freddie norwood and the indonesian dude....but he was clearly the most complete of the barrera-morales-marquez trio.

for example, morales fought some real close, possibly losing fights against espada and chi...morales got dominnated by raheem too...

not sure how good those two guys (morales and barrera) really were. i think a lot of it was hype more than realility.

    He's a top 30, maybe even top 20 ATG.

    Anything more is just reaching.

lol...how many more of their fights do i need to watch? back in the day, hbo showed all barrera's fights. morales too. the mckinney fight was barrera's first real test. mckinney was past his prime but still gave barrera a war. like i said, junior jones knocked his a88 out..then beat him up in the rematch. morales struggled with guys like chi and espada. never thought much of him. but the thing is, they (morales and barrera ) were pretty evenly matched...they produced some great fights against each other...musta been that tijuana-df rivalry.

but i'll tell you this...i knew before the pac-barrera fight that pac was gonna take him. i had seen pac fight and knew how good he was. barrera was almost overconfident...thinking that pac was a filipino nobody...especially when he dropped pac in the first round....but then pac proceeded to beat the schit outta barrera for the next 10 rounds...broke barrera's spiirt...after that fight, barrera changed his style and became much more of a boxer/conterpuncher. but the ultimate was how barrera basically ran from pac in the rematch...pac turned him into a btch, lol.

barrera-marquez was a good fight. he dropped marquez too... i had marquez winning that one...but barrera was the clear hbo favorite. aftr the fight barrera says he tought he won easily. he was so accustomed to getting the benefit of the doubt against lower-profile fighters... even in close fights.

i wasn't really surprised that morales beat pac in the first fight...i figured that was a pick-em. this is because pac struggled with marquez...i figured morales was gonna do like marquez and come in 10 lbs over the weight limit on fight night. at the time, it looked like pac had reached the limit of his potential. who knew he would ko morales in the rematch and destroy him in the third fight.

but like i said, morales himself was kinda suspect. he was never really as good as barrera....never really no great shakes. he struggled with mediocre guys...i predicted raheem would beat him...just never saw how easy it woudl be.
