    Tito Trinidad (PRIME)
Oscar de la Hoya (ALMOST PRIME, his best weight was 140)
    Ike Quartey (PRIME)
Shane Mosley (ALMOST PRIME, the guy was invincible at 135)
    Vernon Forrest (PRIME)

And then you have Jose Luis Lopez, a fresh Yori Boy Campas, Six Heads Lewis and Oba Carr. If i´m forgetting someone, name them.

I think with the exception of the late 70s early 80s era, this was the best WW era ever.

It was awesome, I wish Quartey got involved in more of the action. At least he got a shot with De La Hoya (I'm excluding Forrest because they were both past prime when they met).

it was awesome, and still lives off them days today. it was also good when you had floyd, cotto, margo and williams campaigning.

but now it is crap tbh. you have floyd and pac who are both seen as top 2 fighters. then berto who is on the up, then a big void of emptiness containing the likes of matthew hatton.

Your forgetting james Page. Very good fighter who held the wba title from 1998 to 2000.

Absolutely. Quartey was a great fighter. Spectacular jab. Do you know why he stopped fighting after Vargas for 5 years?

He had his own business ventures in his home country. A lot of fighters say they want to quite boxing as soon as possible to do something else but few can do it, Quartey on the other hand could, occasionally coming back for a fight every now and then. Truly underrated fighter I feel and I hope he is living well.

It was good, but not great.
