Froch looks like he going to go over to the States to fight Taylor.

How highly would a win for Froch over Taylor be viewed?

*Particularly compared to recent wins by other British boxers ie Lacy, Tszue, malignaggi, Kessler, Mormeck etc...*

They will make up an excuse that Taylor was never any good anyway, or had been ruined by Pavlik et al

It would be an excellent win, but I don't think he can do it.

A win over Taylor with the skills Froch has would be huge. It would be like me winning the lotto 4 times this year :yep

the king of 168 and the man to put an end to dawson's streak. pavlik won't have the nerves of moving at 168 so the only place to go is in dawson's territory

It would legitimize Froch, who at this point is still just an unproven fighter with a big mouth.

It depends, as always, on the fighters' level of performance. If Taylor performs as well as he did against Lacy, say, and Froch puts in the kind of performance required to beat him clearly, then, in my book, he'd be the second best supermiddleweight in the world, after Kessler, just ahead of Bute and Andrade. ...Huge "If", of course, given the level of peformance of Froch in his last fight, say, but he's got a chance because he has very good power and a very good chin and because he is tough, strong and has very good stamina. (Not an iron chin and not one-punch KO power as we once thought, though...)
