There aren't too many undefeated popular fighters. Floyd, Rocky, Sven, Andre, Joe etc..

The best fighter here is Floyd and he isn't in my all time top 20 list. You can get an idea. L is not that important.

Floyd summed it up the best himself, he said " OK you call me a coward that doesnt bother me. I may be a coward but I'm a rich coward "!!! From his own lips .

Everyone knows that Floyd's 0 is really bogus. Vegas officials gave him decisions even he himself knows he really did not deserve. The state commission looked the other way on his misdemeanors too. He's a FRAUD!!

He benefited from the Vegas judges, but I can't call him as fraud. He has all time level defensive skills and out-boxing ability. We should accept that.

Not that important. One or two losses can happen - hell, are even expected - over a fighter's career. Many losses are a black mark, however, because they point to inconsistency. An undefeated fighter is often a well-managed and / or lucky fighter in addition to being good. Wilder was undefeated for a long time and his record is nothing to write home about.

And they put their money largely into his pockets, helping him become by far the best of his era. What a sensational talent. Mayweather was always a joy to watch.

I would prefer Boxer to have solid resume and have 3 loses, than to have 0 L and be like Haney.

Why do people think that 0 means something when you don't fought someone from TOP 20 ?

Sven Ottke is better than Ray Robinson.

Rocky Marciano is the best HW ever.

    Floyd Mayweather is the GOAT.

He was the best by a mile

It's close between him and manny for greatest

I was getting too caught up on recent hype about manny fighting spence and declared him greater, but Floyd still ahead slightly

He would never lose to Horn type fighters lol

Douchey fans and casuals love undefeated. Helps them talk smack about other fighters, especially those w/ a loss.

You can bet your butt Danny Jacobs would have been loved her if he had not a KO loss to Pirog.

It depends on who they lose to, how they lose, whether avenged or not, and then it depends on who's doing the evaluating.

Some loses are worse than others. Losing to a guy you have no business losing to is a bad loss. If you get knocked out that's a bad loss unless you moved up 2 weight classes to fight someone. If you lose a close fight against a A level boxer then it's not as bad but still a loss and will effect your standing. With that said they should and will be counted against you. The object of boxing is to out point or KO your opponent to win. If loses didn't matter they wouldn't track them. People who want to downplay loses especially bad ones can't be taken seriously.

Pacquiao is great, but I don't think he's in the same league as Mayweather.
