The topic has changed...as usual...from the OP. It's descended into a slagging off war about country v country nonsense.

I think the initial probocative OP was ''how is the British Pride after Hatton's loss'', I think it's safe to say our pride is intact, and that this was perfectly demonstrated in the first half of this thread, before the protagonists like MarkBrooklyn came on to stir things up!

The economy fell by 25%, there were earthquakes and I believe a famine or two but...we're gradually recovering now from a boxer losing a bout, thanks for asking :)

TopDog, don't mind these ignorant clowns, just because England doesn't have a decent league doesn't mean the likes of Spain (where for example the great soccer teams Real Madrid & Barcelona invest millions into each of their basketball teams), Greece (again all the major soccer teams are involved), Italy (ever heard of Kinder Surprise? well, the invest heavy into a team based in Bologna and which gets a bigger following than the soccer team), Croatia (whose soccer tyeam recently KO England out of the Euro champs), Serbia (again their soccer teams invest heavy), Lithuania (No.1 sport there, invested heavily) France (not a bad league and where Tony Parker played a little bit in), Germany (again a strong league) Israel (bigtime investement) and last but not least Russia (again big money invested and always growing)....:hi::hi::hi:
