How Kovalev would do in CW division?

Puts into perspective what RJJ did.

It would be like Kovalev going up to fight Povetkin in his next fight

 

RJJ went from middle weight so it still wouldnt be as much of an accomplishment

 

I think he could do pretty well. He's got good skills, good power and looks to have a big enough frame to hold the weight nicely. Reach would be a bit short but still...

 

Higher chances of getting laid out by guys who bang just as hard as he does .

 

Against Sillakh he was 181 at fightnight. I think he is usually around 183.

Kovalev is not a big light heavyweight. Actually some middleweights weigh as much as he does at fightnight.

He is closer to super middleweight then to cruiserweight.

 

Depends on how his power would carry up.

 

Think he would lose against the toughnuts like lebedev,huck and diablo, although he could outbox them for sure.
he would be a top 10 cruiserweight. lets see how those 2 british scoundrels do, then we can judge it.
