How long before Jarrett Hurd is on your P4P list?

Hes had a good run so far but only 3 world class (by 154 standard) victories.

 

Let's slow down for a minute, that's one good win. You don't make the P4P list on one "good win". Great win, yes. If he beat GGG or Ward (who is in his real weight class) then he cracks the P4P list.

Mallow was a much bigger overall LMW.

i think Hurd is a top 15 right now. His resume is tops of the LMW titlists.

But.... I'm a Brook fan and Hurd vs Harrison gives me great promise that Brook can get up in that @55.

Hurd isn't a pound for pound type talent.

If he can continue to make 154lbs as comfortably as he did two days ago beat Charlo and defend against several highly ranked guys then why wouldn’t he?

Being ranked P4p shouldn’t be subjective and based on your own personal criteria. It should be heavily weighted in your accomplishments and length of reign at the top. Hurd isn’t Whitaker but he brings the pain and I think the guy is pretty genuine in terms of managing the public’s expectation of him. He’ll likely get KOd at some point in his career but it won’t be because he ran.

 

Nobody has ever beaten Lara comprehensively until Hurd.

While Lara has the best overall resume of the LMW division and beat p4p talents like PWILLY, Trout, and fought even with Alvarez. He busted Angulo up, made Darnell Boone look like the journeyman he is.
He's been avoided like the plague in terms of unification til now, when he's been showing signs of slowing as he's tried to get a bit more "exciting" and said as much.
Hurd took down a p4p talent, has the best resume of the titilists, and is a unified CHAMP.
I can't name 15 fighters with a better 5 Ws, none of which were anything other than dominant performances.

 

Lara's gotten some bad judging against him in his career, but this is an opposite side of town.
Hurd took 6 CLEAN.
There were 4 razor thin.
Lara took 2 clean.

7/5 8/4 is a good score for Hurd.
A draw for Lara is a camelita gift

Joshua is ranked by most everyone for his Ws over Wlad and Joey P.
But his top 5 are very similar in comparison to Hurds.

Not as good as AJ overall but f/n solid last 6/7 fights and all from prospect to unified CHAMP

 

Hurd is not P4P, doubt if he ever will be...................

 

he is already on my unconfirmed list, thats my p4p list as i think it stands right now if it had to be put to the test. he is not on my regular p4p list, which is the same list everyone else has, pretty much.
i understand why people feel like he has no skill, they are dead wrong, but i know why they feel that way. he has very solid defence, for what he does. you put yourself in a position to break down youre opponent, youre gonna get hit, yet lara had a lower conect percentage than he usually averages... thats why ggg wasnt too keen on pounding canelos giblets, cause thats where the defense gets tested.
hurd is very sneaky in his unconventional movement, it puts him in positions to hide many of the punches he throws because fighters arent used to seeing punches from those angles, at those times. the uppercuts, which i think are his best punches, because he does hide them so well that fighters start to shell up when he gets inside, they open up the lower body and thats usually the beginning of the beatdown because fighters havent figured out how to stop him from invading their space, and protect from uppercuts and body shots when he does break in.
its going to take a guy who can really crack, to create enough distance between them in order outbox him. the whole weight bully thing dont mean squat to me, everyone else has the same option to cut as much weight as they want, and fight in the division that best suits them.
