How long to wait to resume training....

    When recovering from an abscess? I went to the ER a week ago today and they cut it and drained it. Put me on ABs and left a nice wide cut with a drain in it then covered with a dressing. I took the drain out and removed dressing. Not bleeding any more and no pain, but cut isn't fully closed and I don't want to start my routine and risk possible infection from sweat etc. Thanks in advance

    How about you ask a medical professional, not a bunch of boxers?

    I agree, internet forums are perhaps the worst place to ask for medical advice. Maybe a crack-house is worse, but yeah, definitely talk to a medical professional.

    Depends were it is
    If it’s in your mouth then don’t spar
    If it’s on your ass then don’t do squats or ride a bike
    If it’s on your upper then work your lower body no reason why you can’t do some form of training if you are up to it
