Come on now fighters have fought through this **** before when your on this level and being paid this much its expected of you, and I do not believe his jaw was broke in round 1 to me it sounded like Victor was saying in the first 30 secs of that final round.

But as I said when you make this kind of money and are at this level, you are expected to try to find a way and Victor only tried to find a way back to his corner and quit he did not try to find a way to win.

His corner was disgusted in him, it was Vic who asked the ref to stop it I cant believe this **** he did it again.

Margo fought pacquiao with a shattered orbital bone then he was begging to carry on vs cotto when his eye was literally about to fall out.

Well if you are an amateur boxer then you should know that it take's balls to get in the ring. And look at my previous posts before today, I've never been a guy who sticks up for Ortiz, I just don't like keyboard warriors (You) calling a guy who fights for a living a coward.

And '******'? Wow, I've never heard a keyboard warrior (You) call someone a '******' before.

And if Ortiz quit at the lower level then he would have never got to the top

now he's quit at the top a few timers its gonna be very hard to justify his tv slot over other guys more deserving

he knows the rules and I bet he feels like ****

Shut up man, you know exactly what the **** these fans are talking about stop acting like your opinion is the be all and end all.
When you are on this level it is expected of you to try to find a way to win, a broken hand a broken jaw a broken rib it doesnt ****ing matter bad cut what ever.

Victor did not try, his jaw was broken in that last round, as soon as the round ended he didnt ask his trainer for advice he just asked him to stop the fight and when he saw that he wouldnt Victor stood up and told the ref to.

a real fighter would have told his trainer the situation, the trainer if a good one which Garcia is, would have given him advice, focused on protecting that injury and scoring enough points to continue winning rounds.

That didnt Happen because it wasnt in Victors heart to ask for that....

I don't give a **** about your previous posts dumbass. Other fighters have fought with their jaws broken in the past, why hasn't Ortiz been able to do so ?

=> Because he lacks of heart and balls. I mean it's pretty easy to understand.

Broken no, dislocated yes. The point is a professional boxer is conditioned to take punches, they are trained to go to war. They shouldn't quit over a broken jaw unless the doctor advises them to.

We have all got our asses kicked before, and in many circumstances there isn't an option to quit and there is no where to run or hide. We learn how we really are in those situations where we've been tested and find out what we are made of.

It's not a matter of whether I'm tough enough to box 12 rounds with a broken jaw because I'm not a boxer. It's about how we each stack up to our peers in our own professionals and if you aren't physically tough you shouldn't be a boxer. I'm not a boxer because I'm not necessarily good at fighting, got my ass kicked a lot as a kid, but I didn't go run to the teacher or just stand there and get beat on either. You can take an ass kicking, it's normal, and when there are millions of dollars at stake why the hell not?

I understand not taking an ass kicking for free, those are permanent injuries and there is nothing to prove but when millions of dollars are at stake the equation changes. Would you fight with a broken jaw to get out of the crime filled ghetto? To help your family have a better life? To win the respect of your peers?

I would. I'm sure most people here would. The ones who wouldn't don't have heart.

    :deal:deal:deal Word

Also, the fact that his corner asked him to continue shows that they weren't satisfied with his decision either. Why in the world should we be satisfied and give the quitter any credit ? :think

its not just that look back at the blatant foul when held Lopez and hit him clearly while he was holding him in the back of the head. Victor was looking for a way out
