yeah we all paid to watch you fight and hey why not you're done it's understandable

 

We've seen countless fighters continue or try to continue with devastating injuries. Even recently we've had Chambers fight nearly 12 full rounds with a torn left bicep and Bradley win a fight with a fractured left foot and a sprained right ankle. You can also mention these guys and the injuries that they fought through:

Lamon Brewster: Detached Retina

Floyd Mayweather Jr.: Torn Rotator Cuff

Jeff Lacy: Torn Rotator Cuff

Antonio Margarito: Broken Orbital Bone

Paulie Malignaggi: Broken Jaw

Arthur Abraham: Broken Jaw

Pernell Whitaker: Broken Jaw

There are a few others who fought with broken jaws that I can't remember right now, but you get the point. Some of these fighters that I listed with bad injuries even won their fights. It's hard for me to take Ortiz seriously as a boxer if he quits whenever it gets tough. He knew the risks when he chose to become a boxer. If he doesn't want to take any of those risks, that's fine. He should just retire and let other, more deserving men take his spot.

I once broke my jaw (not related to boxing or fighting), and let me tell you, unless it happened to you, you can't imagine what it feels like. It's scary, it hurts like a *****, you feel your heart pounding in your whole face with pain, your mouth is wide open, unnable to articulate, and the mouth you've had your lifetime, all of a sudden feels alien. It's a very creepy and scary feeling.

I can't imagine, on top of that, getting punched by a pro boxer after. I'd be crying all my fluids out.

Come to think of it Arthur Abraham fought with a broken Jaw the entire fight against a heavy handed Edison Miranda

 

What people are over looking is that it probbly got broken in the first round. That means that he fought most of the fight with it broken.

Not the entire fight though, Miranda broke his jaw in round 4 so AA fought 8 rounds and half with his broken jaw. Ortiz didn't last 1 whole round. atsch

 

How can we over look that when that just isnt the truth, Victor said he broke it early in the 9th
