You mean the shot retiree that gave Hasim a tougher fight than Lewis did less than a year before Hasim iced Lennox with a single punch?

If the shot one took him 7, it kinda makes you wonder why Lennox needed two go arounds to do the trick.

Perhaps they are, but they have all got at least one tangible win.

That makes me reluctant to start picking Povetkin over a whole line of them.

Except Baer and Sharkey don't have a shred of Povetkin's technical skill.

The Rahman,Byrd and Donald wins have zero sport value.
Chagaev is his only decent win.
The amateur super-heavyweight has zero sport value the amateur
boxing is practice before the pro carrier.

Funny the Povetkin/wk fans forget how **** was povetkin against the heavyweight nobody Huck.
Every verson M. Spinks or younger than 43 years old Holmes was better than
    this limited Povetkin.
The prime Moorer and Douglas smoke the chicken-chested Povetkin.

Let's recap: You said Lewis' worst defence was better than Wlad's best defence.

    1) Lewis got KTFO by Rahman. You don't get worse than that.
    2) Wlad stopped Rahman.

Straight off, you knobbed yourself right there.

But let's continue. You said that Lewis defended against "decent" opposition. Ergo, that set includes Rahman. Yet HERE (and other places) you rag on Rahman as not even being a top contender when he fought Corrie:

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/showpost.php?p=17472301&postcount=53

So, to sum up: Rahman was 'meh' when he fought Sanders, 'decent' when he KTFO Lewis and became shyte when Wlad stopped him. :-(

    Conclusion:

    a) I am right
    b) You are wrong
    c) Turdster eats his own turds ... again

    :hi:

I'd make the statement that if Wlad wasn't around Povetkin would be the #1 HW right now. I think that Sasha may still get him.

Byrd was nearly 37,Rahman nearly 40,Donald 39. And they are his biggest names.:patsch What was Chagaev's best win up to then ?A majority dec over Valuev.:-(

The best that can be said for Povetkin is , he is one of the better contenders in a sh*t division.

Rahman was 28 when he fought Lewis and 36 when he fought Wlad ,you don't think that had any impact on the results?

triangle theories don't mean anything, and you should know that.

Which shot retiree are you referring to anyway. it would help if you would be specific in your argument.

Are these clowns trying to prop up Rahman as a good win for Wlad now? Rahman took that fight on two weeks notice. He didn't even remove his duffle coat at the weight-in.

    hes not said that once.

so why are you saying it?

its no use inventing a new argument that no one else is arguing about so as to pretend you are winning something- you need to deal with the argument that you are losing.

I'm saying he was prime when he fought Lewis and had been rated in the top 10 for 4 years and would be so rated a year after his fight with Lewis[2001],when he fought Wlad,[ 2008,] he was demonstrably past prime and his having not been rated for 3 years reflected this.
This makes your argument spurious, illogical, and irrelevant.
