He didnt even fight the top welterweights in his era ,what makes you think he would have fought these guys.He retired and let them beat each other up remember.

ok then. let floyd fights guys like ortiz, khan, maidana or go into vacations since no one is a threat to him. let's give him all the hypothetical wins and make floyd as the GOAT.

this. it took him what, 5 years in WW before fighting mosley who was already shot by then. floyd is like sun tzu since he knows when not to take on opponents that are risky and when to take on them.

You mean the Mosley who Floyd Mayweather said he'd move up to 147 to face? The same Mosley who ducked, when pressured by the HBO team by saying that he had a toothache.:rofl:rofl

The Mosley who was supposedly so shot, that he destroyed the allegedly most feared fighter in slow ass margarito.

If you really look at it objectively and place each fighter at their prime or when Mosely fought them, most of those opponents beat Floyd. Floyd would win some but he would lose more than a couple

Winky: decent power, decent speed, good ring IQ and skills, taller by a couple inches, physically strong, southpaw. That's a tall order even for somebody of Floyd's skill. Look at all of Winky's losses or close fights. You have to be physically stronger and a good puncher to do it. Floyd comes up short in those two categories. Vargas straight bullrushed him and had the strength to punch though Winky's guard. Ditto for Taylor. Trinidad was past it, but always punched at openings. Although he's a great puncher he's not the type of guy to beat on you until he finds an opening. Floyd isn't either. That's kinda what you have to do to really make it competitive with Winky. Smaller guys aren't meant to be successful against his style. Winky would control and walk them down with jabs as well as firing hard straight lefts and body shots. That strong southpaw jab would be Floyd's undoing. Since Floyd has fought at 154 once, I have to use that version and I saw nothing from that to lead me to believe he beats Winky there. Winky by UD scores looking like 117-111, 116-112. 118-110

Forrest- Tall with long arms, good power, quick hands, good ring IQ and skills, good puncher with a variety of hard shots. Very good jab. Dude was like 6ft at welter. Nah Floyd's not winning this. Sorry brehs. Look at the difference in asswhipping of Baldomier. Floyd would make a fight out of it but if he took to many risks (which he would have to do) he might get KO'd. This isn't a weight drained Corrales. This is the Forrest that ***** smacked Shane around in that 1st fight. Forrest by Late TKO

Oscar Dela Hoya- People forgetting how quick Oscar was at 147. Imagine the Oscar in the actual Floyd fight. But imagine him being 2x fast, not gassing and getting hesistant, and imagine him constantly trying to make it a war like he did in the first Shane fight. Oscar got his punches off better back then and could box with the best of them. Oscar by competitive but clear UD. Scores looking like 115-113, 116-112 2x. Oscar has the power to Oba Carr him (KO) but I don't think he would.

Cotto- great body puncher, quick hands, heavy handed, above average power, decent physical strength, good jab. Floyd would beat Cotto. Cotta would make a great effort out of it and will touch up Floyd and even win 3-4 rounds, but he would get hit with the sharpest most accurate punches ever all night. Floyd by UD. scores looking like 117-111, 116-112 2x

Margarito- Wolverine type chin and healing powers, good power, good physical strengths, great determination, much taller, good body puncher, good footwork, great stamina,Antonio pushes Floyd to the brink but Floyd wins, but probably the most grueling fight of his career. Floyd doesn't have the physical strength and power to stop Margarito from coming in. He wouldn't be able to run all night either. He would win off counters in exchanges because he will be forced to fight. His defense will win the fight though but its tough as hell just because the amount of effort and energy put out. Floyd by UD, scores looking like 115-113 all the way

Floyd/Vargas- Floyd beats a washed up Vargas at 154 (the one Shane beat) so I give this to Floyd by UD. No way in hell he beats a prime Fernando. That kid was a beast

Floyd beats them all. Eventhough, I'm a huge Vernon Forrest fan.
