This exact same thread was made a few months ago with a poll and there was a huge spike at 25+. There seemed to be a huge subsection of this forum that can do 30 or more pull ups regardless of their bodyweight.

As for taking the **** out of aramini (which I do as well) at least the bloke shows evidence of his claims.

Not picking out anyone in particular, you probably can do it, I don't know. What I'm saying is in 10 years of training and working in gyms I've met and heard of few people that could do 30 strict pullups. I come to a BOXING forum and there's 5 people that claim they can do 30+ in the first 2 pages of this thread. In that other thread there were 19 people claiming they could do more than 30, 11 claimed 40+. It's bull****.

I know guys 230+ who strap 50lbs or more around their waist and do sets of 10, it's impressive but far from unbelievable.

10 pullups is my best, could probally muster about 7 now as i haven't done them in a while. I was at a point where i could a set of ten, then a set of seven and then maybe 4-5 on the last set......

@whiron1..that is mighty impressive, i was aiming to be able to do 20, i'd be made up with that, you've given me a new target to shoot for now though!! I might even give these badboys a whirl. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2Sr6FFdcII&feature=player_embedded[/ame]

Does anybody on this site do Crossfit?

I'm considering changing from a traditional weightlifting program into crossfit...

Does anybody have any experience with this program?

10 pullups. On a great day after a few days of rest? Maybe 12 pushing it. Granted I am Big as a house (240+), hahaha.

Do sets of 7,5,3,3 before and after the morning run with body weight squats. Getting back into it though, used to do 10, 7, 5, 5.

Never done it, but I hear it is a beast. Try it out and tell us. Just don't pay an arm and a leg for it.

i always finish a work out with 10 reps x 4 chin ups, getting it back up to 12 at the moment have had it as high as 15 x 4 ( full proper form ), i also find it hard to believe the 30 + claims, especially if they are full chin ups.

The most i have achieved in one set was 26, that was a one off , every so often id try to just do 1 set of as many reps as possible, it was always around 20-23.

Its quality not quantity id rather do my 10 reps x 4 of good quality proper form chin ups than 30+ half arsed ones
