Oh man, I can't wait for this fight to happen.

Bernard's masterpiece vs. Tarver got me going for a full summer, working on mastering them lead rights and that mangoose movement of his.

This one will probably get me going for the full year.

Hate to rain on your parade but your boy has gradually looked worse and worse over the last half decade+ and unfortunately the legend is going to get starched by Calzaghe. And I say that from strictly a betting standpoint; neutral ground

Hopkins will get the **** beat out of him for 11 and a half rounds to a "white boy", then Calzaghe will drop him and hit him while hes down.

I think as many as he won against Jones.

5 years ago, this is a different fight and I think the evaluation would be different from most (who don't have a stake in the fight, meaning Reg and Amsterdam lol)

I'm a massive Calzaghe fan, been to his last two bouts but even I need to shake my head in disbelief at some of the optimism on here. Believe me when I say theres no chance in hell Joe will do a Lacy on old Bernard. Hopkins is far too experienced.

I'm a little worried that fighting outside his own backyard will have a negative effect on Joe. Sure he'll be fired up but his perceived slapping could bring point deductions from the American judges. Plus if Hopkins ties him up and throws a few headbutts, he will frustrate Joe and may catch him with a couple of heavy right hands down the middle.

However I do believe Joe will outwork him and win on points by around three rounds.

I think Joe will be a clear winner of the fight, however I dont think a schooling a la lacy will happen. Hopkins is a smart cookie but Calzaghe will prevail comfortably.

I agree. A lacying is out of the question due to styles. Certain styles you just cannot lacy, even if you win every round...
