Ward would be a tune for GGG leading to a showdown with Alex Brand.

Difference is Krusher was very keen on fighting Ward whereas GGG wanted nothing at all to do with him.

when HBO asked both golovkin and ward would they fight each other golovkin said yes and ward said no what then do you expect golovkin to do at that time wait around?

The other main point is when ward came back from his issues and held that coming out meeting he clearly said he wanted tune ups before a big fight apparently at that time according to him he wanted golovkin so he says .

but team golovkin was ready to fight ward straight away in his first fight back but ward did not want it
