Fight the people in his own weight class or fight the bigger men in the higher weight classes. If he wants to fight the smaller men, then meet them halfway (in terms of weight) and don't make them come to your comfortable weight while they are bulging up just to say that they are on the higher weight.

I honestly would not mind seeing him face Shane Mosley, then go on to face the winner of Pacquiao/Cotto. Those 2 fights alone would be enough for me, especially if the two fights are Mayweather vs Mosley and Mayweather vs Cotto. That would be the top 2 welterweights in the division and if he beats those 2, I would have no complaints.

Upon announcing his comeback, he said he wanted to fight the best out there. Who he selects as his next opponents will determine if he is really serious about what he said.

Not until the IRS came knocking at his door. Besides, that Mayweather Promotions is not a registered company and hence is illegal. Floyd needs a legit promotions company.

Stop looking for lame excuses. PBF needs to fight both: the winner of Cotto -Pac, the winner of Mosley-Clottey. That will silence that vast majority of critics. Of course, there will be always be some haters and marginal critics but the majority of critics will silence and you know that.

Marquez was hardly shabby opposition for a tune up fight, after nigh on 2yrs out.

Let's see what he does from here.

With whom did Floyd sign for what? Floyd hasn't signed to do anything. He was talking about how he wanted 5 more fights, but he has no obligation to anyone. He doesn't have a deal with HBO, he doesn't have a deal with GBP - who else would be be obligated to?

I can't see him taking more than 2 more fights - Cotto-Pacquiao winner, and Mosley. That's it. Nobody else brings in enough money to make it worth his time.

I don't expect him to fight Williams, who's clearly far, far bigger at this moment and should stick to 154/160, being that Mayweather isn't a big welterweight either. But Mosley and Pacquiao/Cotto would be good, the thing is that he would beat any of those 3, yet he seems to lack the confidence to go out there and do it.

Humble guys like Shane Mosley? Please, if Floyd crashed Mosley's interview in the manner that Sugar did to him everyone would be lambasting him as "ghetto."

What do you mean it's not a registered company? There's a Mayweather Promotions LLC that's registered in Nevada with the manager listed as Floyd Mayweather. If the IRS isn't paid off from this fight he could earn it in any number of ways. I'm sure he'll fight again, but I sincerely doubt that he's guaranteed 5 fights to anyone.

I read an article (ESPN?) that said that MP is not actually a registered company but Floyd is using it. I thought there is no way that I could verify if it is true and hence took his word for it since the writer (I forgot the name) seems credible. It turn out that I can indeed check the veracity of the company and it is indeed existing. Hence, I'm taking back what I said that MP is an illegal company.

About Floyd's 5 more fights, I also doubt that he agreed with GBP or HBO to have that many more fights lined up for him.

Floyd's a sharp little ****er, Ray Leonard pulled the retirement stroke numerous times just 2 avoid certain fistic doom & the hands of a Prime Hagler or 154 Hearns, he came back after everyone had smashed each other up & Floyd's 2 years off have seen Cotto/DLH hammered & Margo TKO'd + Mosley another 2 years older & Williams according 2 Floyd ai'nt PPv ratable, fighting midgits is oh so easy $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$:smoke

Fighting some actual Welterweights would be a good start.
