CHEF we really appriciate having someone like you on this forum with insight of peak professional boxer! Wish Wlad all the best for the upcoming Povetkin fight. Lots of fans in London!
No way, that math doesn't even work. You don't add 50lbs to 225 and only drop 3 reps. I worked out long enough to know this. No one even reps 225 18 times, what are you trying to do, be a really ripped gigantic body builder? Where is your picture?
Whoa.. Wladimir does 275x20-3sets? I know short stocky guys like Mike Tyson used to max out at close to 400lbs, but even he wouldn't do 275x20-3. How on earth does he manage to do that with his long arms?
 I typed in 'Chewbacca soccer' in Google image and I got this picture: This content is protected When Coming to America comes up, you win. But I kinda win in another way if you really think about it.
He doesn't, those are made up numbers. First off, he was able to rep 275 20 times, he would be maxing nearly 500lbs. He is a boxer, he would have way too much muscle on his triceps/shoulders/chest to even be able to move. Those numbers are absolutely ridiculous.
How would you incorporate increasing bench press, how often, etc. in a training regimen that encompasses insane amounts of cardio and calisthetics? Something smells fishy.. unless we are talking only strength 'el naturel'
I agree, what are they powerlifters? :huh I don't see this as possible given the calisthetics and cardio training that goes into it. I strictly lifted before getting into boxing and running and guess what? -- my bench went down. Pics or STFU.
Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime did reps of 275 15 times. Boxer wladamir klitschko is not outlifting Arnold Schwarzenegger during work outs.
Arnold worked hard and he worked heavy, hitting his chest three days a week and would often work his back on the same day, relishing the feel of a fully pumped upper body at the end of the workout. (Schwarzenegger employed a six-days-on/one-day-off double-split routine throughout much of his professional career. See "Doing the Double Split" sidebar for details.) The results of this no-nonsense routine were quick and dramatic. After five years on this regimen, Arnold's chest swelled from a sunken 39' 'to a whopping 58'--a 19" gain! In addition, it was through this routine that he worked his way up to an unassisted 500-pound bench press. Arnold would first warm up for this favored exercise with 135 pounds for a quick 30-40 reps to get the blood flowing and the joints loose. Then he would immediately head for a chinning bar, knocking out 15 wide-grip behind-the-neck chins before heading back to the bench, adding a pair of 45s to the bar and pumping out 20 more reps. After a second set of chins, he'd load the bar with 275, perform 15 more reps and then jump back to the chinning bar. And so it went, with weight/rep combinations of 315 for 12, 365 for eight and 405 for six, all superset with chins, all done without rest. Arnold always consciously took very deep breaths while doing this and all of his chest exercises. "In addition to massing up the pectorals, the heavy breathing also encourages rib cage expansion." Mr Olympia....
No he doesn't. Haye's 1 rep max is probably 394 pounds. Klitschko does 275 for 20 reps....... USE YOUR LOGIC..
