How much does "No Mas" hurt Roberto Durans legacy

    I don't hold Liston's TKO loss to Clay down in Miami against Sonny at all... He got his ass kicked fair and square.... Was Sonny in top shape in 1964 at 218 pounds? NO! But he wasn't a total slob, either... He took Clay lightly and paid the piper for it, too..... Elementary my dear Watson....

    As for Maine '65, well, Liston did get tagged by Ali's anchor punch in round 1, but, for the sake of Allah, no way in hell did the punch have the power to drop Liston like a sack of taters to the floor and leave him reeling like a man who'd been shot by a .44 magnum... Yeah, Liston eventually got up to carry on before ref Walcott stepped-in to halt the farce, but Liston sure took his sweet-ass time getting up initially..... That event in Maine SUCKED Ball-Park Franks without the bun......

    That farce / loss does hurt Liston's legacy.....

    The biggest **** me off stinker I ever saw as it occurred was, "Dokes-Weaver 1." I wanna ref Joey Curtis dead that night... I was livid...

    "Tyson-Seldon" of '96 is right there, too.....

    He may have only done it once but once is one time too many. You can never validly say, " he had no quit in him". He was a great fighter in spite of this but, it does tarnish my final opinion of him.

    Sure it's a tough blemish but like many old school fighters, his career has so much depth and diversity IMO its a failure that adds a piece of interest especially in regards to the mans personally and obviously the comeback fights that happened after No Mas. F
