If anyone thinks a loss, especially a ko, wouldn't affect his legacy should remember RJJ-Tarver II.

Roy was over 35 years old and had been almost untouchable but his reputation plummeted overnight.

Plus, a lot of people dislike Floyd and everyone would use this as "proof" that he avoided fighter x because he was never that good.

Duran had been fighting at that weight for over 2 years , they were the same weight, don't know why you mentioned that, kind of weird

thanks for agreeing with me Marquez did have to move up two whole divisions for the fight

Marquez a year before the Floyd fight was 3 divisions below him

Floyd doesnt even has a legacy. What has he done at 147 division? The guy went into hiding when the 147 divison were hot and loaded.

Everyone already knows Duran jumped 2 weight divisions to beat Leonard....it's fact. He went up for Brooks but Brooks was a complete can.....Palomino was his only DECENT fight there.... Leonard was the real test...

Marquez challenged Mayweather and got his butt whupped... that's fact....

He landed 0 punches the whole fight!!! :yep

iv no idea where you get your facts from, but the real facts state Duran was boxing at Leonards weight for two years before the fight. he didnt move up in division

iv no idea what your point is buddy, Marquez had to move up 2 divisions for the fight and a year before the fight was fighting 3 divisiions below Floyd, thats what im stating

There was no real difference, he went up for crappy challenges besides a decent Palomino.....

The time difference was so short it didn't matter.... Duran never adjusted to that weight that well anyways... that's why the win was so important and valued so highly.... that was a fight he should never have won

Marquez challenged himself... and got his ass kicked so badly he literally got embarrassed...:deal

Mayweather losing here does absolutely nothing for Maidana.

May is 37 and has slipped significantly.

If this actually means anything, then Holmes had a VERY GOOD WIN vs Ali.

    :patsch

Duran had 8 fights at that weight over 2 years, sometimes even coming in over the limit he was then a welterweight, are you mentally defective?

Marquez had to move up 2 weights for the fight and a year before the fight was 3 weights below Floyd, this is the point i made all else is irrelevent

I have to disagree with you their Ali was visibly effected from Parkinson going into the fight bad comparison their Mayweather looked exceptional against Canelo the guy still is looking great and you saying a lose does nothing is going a little to far to be honest.

No it isn't, Floyd has been slipping for a long time now and anybody who knows boxing knows this.

Only idiots believe that beating an almost 38 year old man is some great accomplishment.

Your point is awful and you should feel awful.

There is a fact, Mayweather was challenged by Marquez to fight at WW.

Marquez was very comfortable there, he looked very ripped.

If he really felt that he was cheated on the scales... then why isn't he challenging Mayweather now?

He even stated he wants none of Mayweather, none!!!!!!

Duran was very uncomfortable fighting Leonard......a fight he never should have won..:deal

Leonard was the bigger man by far... in size... everyone knows this!!! :thumbsup

Floyd had a bad night that all he proved to everyone that he still has it in the Canelo fight just look at Bernard he is 50 and still is beating young guys. What i am trying to say is i still think Floyd can fight until he is 40 and still be on top he has not been hit to much so that helps as well.
