    The underlined applies to another heavy champ I can think of.lol

    Patterson beat as many bigger men as his predecessor and 8 of them were ranked.

    Despite the media trying to bill Wlad as 6'6-6'7 he always has claimed to be 6'5 over the years.

    “People talk about [George] like he's a giant. Foreman is 6-2½ I'm 6-2½. Foreman is 217 [pounds] when he's in shape. I'm 214 when I'm in shape.” - Muhammad Ali *

    All is revealed on film, as was the case in the most famous boxing bout there ever was. Look how Haye was dwarfed by WK, Haye would hope Wlad was 6ft7 then we might buy 6ft3

    @JohnThomas1 @swagdelfadeel

    I don't know how he managed to wait until 3 pages to bring up Foreman in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with Foreman. Is this a record...???

    He was a 190 pounder who started as a 160 pounder and he beat men as large as 220 pounds, sir. He was knocking out men 30 lbs heavier than him and giving skilled fighters in their 20's all they could handle while he was in his 30's. Those are the facts.

    You can't name anyone who did something similar. He had no business doing as well as he did in an unrestricted weight class while being a chinny 5'9 guy.

    Who were the good 220lbers he beat? (Just answer it, I “moved the goal post” for an overachiever to beat good real sized HWs boo hoo) As a pro Patterson was 175lbs-190lbs it’s not overachieving to beat “okay” fighters bigger then him like it’s not overachieving for him to have his best wins against his fellow cruiser sized 190lbers. I am overachiever is more like Moore going up from 160lbs (as a pro) and fighting HW’s into his late 30s and 40s - Floyd was an elite fighter not an “overachiever” his results were realistic sir.

    Again, you are forgetting he was a mere 160 as an adult and had to gain weight to get to 190. He was also short for a HW even back then at 5'9, the vast majority of his opponents were at least 6 ft if not taller with longer reaches.

    Okay so we agree he never beat a good, good sized HW… He was 17 years old as an amateur at 160lbs when he won the Gold Medal and then grew into 175lbs and settled at 190lbs… you’re resting a lot of this on what he weighed when he was very young… and in the case of being an “160lbs” Olympian a teenager Glass, Patterson was still maturing into his full size FP was 190lbs for the 2nd Ingo fight age 25 (he himself was shocked at this) and never dipped below it again? He actually got bigger, before that he was always 182lbs or around there and a good sized LHW (whilst in his early 20s…) he was quite a bit bigger then Moore in the ring for example… he was in no way this wee sized middleweight fighting at an open weight beating 210-225lbs contenders no, no he was a 180-190lbs fighter at his best who beat other good cruiser sized guys and stopped the occasional not very good “Big” Herring’s of the world lol which should be expected of even very good LHW’s it’s not overachieving it’s realistic and being short is just part of boxing for some people, Tyson wasn’t an overachiever for that fact neither was Qawi and they had quite a lot bigger height gaps to overcome in there biggest bouts, fighting short can be an advantage.
