Not even had a commonwealth or british title fight, or european title fight or a WBO eliminator.. and suddenly he's the WBO mandatory challenger!

    Only in boxing eh..

    What a circus.

Not surprised though really, I heard the other day that the Parker vs Ruiz winner would have to fight Haye in the first defence, despite Haye's last win being 5 years ago. Equally as perplexing.

yeah aint surprised with anything these days in boxing. Frank Warrens links with the WBO must have played a role.

This Hughie Fury is a complete myth. He is an average heavyweight, nothing more, nothing less. Plus all this steriods stuff hasn't been clarified yet.

He was offered the AJ fight after claiming hes a fighting man blah, blah, blah then when the offer comes in its a 'working mans wage' according to his dad and he fcuks it off.

Then we here nonsense about him fighting Wilder- we all know he will never take that fight. I doubt he would even enforce his mandatory against Parker- He won't go to NZ, plus Top Rank are now dealing with Parkers international affairs so it's likely he will fight in the US if not NZ and we know Fury won't go there either.

Both Furys are a complete waste of space IMO

Maybe because Ruiz ducked out of the eliminator with him ... ?
And Ruiz just gave Parker a close fight for the vacant.

Someone here keeps say Hughie Fury is on a drug ban, but wont provide proper details. Apparently there's an injunction to stop the media talking about it. When this injunction is lifted, we'll find out when the ban is over.
Or maybe Fury isn't banned at all .... it's all very confusing.

how on earth can they have an injunction over a failed drug test? Never mind the logic of getting an injunction for someone who nobody outside boxing fans care about, unless of course another Fury failing a drug test becoming public knowledge makes them pariahs in the boxing world and ends that gravy train...

Fwanks in their pocket imo so basically it's a duff title worthless in the light of things. If Hearn pulled a stunt like that Fwank would be bulging those eyes all over the media.......he is what he is and BT will have to face it sooner rather than later imo as desperate times need desperate actions....

You could question a lot of the mandatory choices for all the weight divisions and belts.

Hughie's won 20 out of 20. Not the best CV but can't say that for many heavyweights.

The current crop of 'top' HW contenders is hardly rich pickings, mind. On that basis alone, he probably has as good a shout as many...

    I don't know.
A regular poster on this forum is convinced that the Furys have had a UKAD hearing and been banned but they have somehow managed to have a media black-out imposed. Seems incredible to me too.
But then, the lack of news of what happened to the UKAD hearing is a mystery to me too.
