My favorite Leonard performance from a technical point of view is probably the Benitez fight.

In terms of action and excitement, I love the entire first Duran fight and the later rounds of the Hearns I bout.

I dont get why people get mad when leonard is called a cherrypicker, I ahve nothing against him but ever since beating hearns 1 thats exactly what he became, a smart calculated man that cherrypicked and waited for hearns and hagler to get past prime before he would fight them(again).
It should be able to mention this without people getting all mad and nostalgic about it.

Does anyone on here really think that PBF would have ever signed to fight Hearns ??? He wouldn`t even enter the arena with Hearns in it, much less a ring.Stupid post...And SRL doesn`t have the names that Pac and PBF had on their resumes ??? How does a prime Hearns and prime Benitez strike you ???????

Why is it that some are actually saying that Pac and Gayweather have the same kind of resume?

Pac has great names in his resume at lower division, which is probably cannot be objectively compared with the likes of Hearns, etc..

Mayweather has past prime Hoya, Mosley, and a lightweight JMM. Of course, they would like to include Corrales and Castillo in that as well, which for the hell, I don't know what they actually accomplished to be considered being mentioned along the likes of Hearns, Hagler or Duran.

Yeah, Leonard became more calculating in his risks, and a cherry-picker, later in his career.

Still, even though he admittedly wanted to fight Hagler after he saw Hagler slip, it's not like Leonard himself was at his peak, or as naturally big as Hagler either.

Achieved more in what sense? Neither would stop Hearns. I doubt if either would make it past the mid rounds against Tommy. And if it were possible to actually make a Haglar/Pac/Mayweather fight - - - Well the idea of Pac in the ring with Haglar is sadistically comical. Mayweather would not go near Haglar. That's something I'm certain of.

:think Let me turn on my Boxrec Warrior Skills
    Wilfred Benitez
    Roberto Duran
    Tommy Hearns
    His performance against Hagler
And plenty of wins over top contenders and good fighters.
Hagler Floyd would be kinda unfair. Hagler is a big dude and with lost of power. Floyd would be iving away over 10 pounds and some height.

Be grateful Leonard sustained the detached retina and prevented him from other unfathomable wins that would have the situation on some other ****.
