15" calf muscles. Compare that to Cotto's which are only 12. Power comes from the legs and delivering it upwards.

You beat me to it. Yeah he's got amazing strength in his legs and that's where he generates a lot of his power.

he put his body into his punches. Manny got very strong legs and when he hops he is throwing his body behind the punch. In short, he knows how to put his body into his punches and got good balance.:tong:yikes :admin

Just like in many other sports, power comes from the ground up. The real amazing thing about Pacquiao is that he can quickly transition from bouncing around to being in position to sit on a punch or a flurry.

Pick a fight in the Philippines and you'll be amazed everyone throws wild punches the way Pac does. Thank God we now have more Boxing gyms to change that awkward style.

its the legs they act like a spring. tiny movemnet of the legs transfered all the way up through the body building power as it is transfered from muscle to muscle then unleasing it all through the arm.

Its like cracking a whip tiny slow movement of the hand generating enough speed to break the sound barrier at the tip

Every time he moves up in weight he seems to be throwing puches at the same speed he was at lower weight.

    Feather Weight speed + 145lbs = Power!!!

Yup. Something he has in common with Prince Naseem, 'the other' absurdly hard punching midget.
