Its simple move backwards and counter punch...

Alex Ariza has a post fight interview where he discusses how manny sparred with fighters that came forward and pressed the action, but the pac team was surprised to find that bradley came out doing the opposite. He kept arguing that Manny gets bored when he has to follow fighters around the ring. I recall that Marquez did the same thing in the last fight, simply back up and force manny to reach with his punches.

that interview is at the site where they hype up fights.

What are you guys thoughts on this?

or for those that think he won on saturday and beat marquez..that tactic will at least make the fight close and the outcome controversial

Timmeh's performance just reaffirmed what many educated boxing fans already knew: emmanuel can't cut off a ring, isn't good on the inside, and struggles with countering.

Now what surprised me is how effective the jab and hook were for Timmeh, and how emmanuel appears to fight better on the inside than he does the outside. You see I always thought you needed a good right hand to beat him after what happen to Marco, Oscar, and Cotto(e). I used to think he was a stylistic nightmare for Miguel, but now I know Miguel getting his AZZ whooped had more to do with the wrong strategy than it does styles.

Ariza's comment about emmanuel getting bored is the stylish way to see our boy can't cut off a ring

I actually think Pac has been working on cutting off the ring after his issues in the Mosley and Marquez fights. There are some points in the Bradley fight were Pac stops following him around and sidesteps to cut him off. I was surprised to see that, because usually he just keeps following his opponent in a straight line. He didn't do it constantly, but it's definitely there in spots.

the second post was for you slap dick!!

I havent watched the whole bradley fight (maybe 4 rounds) but i noticed that he was backing up just like jmm and manny had to reach (and miss) when throwing combonations.

this isnt a discussion for dumb ass fans/haters of this fighter or that fighter its just a perceptive opinion.

if u think its wrong say its wrong and why?

You should watch the fight, it did not work for Bradley, Pac hit him almost at will.. JMM is in a different league..

Ariza was thoroughly pissed that Bradley didn't stalk pac like they thought he would. He said all through training camp they brought in pressure fighters. Which is consistant with roach stating that bradley was "made to order"....

so you can basically say that doing the opposite of what is supposedly "made to order" will cause Pac to have some problems..

a perceptive opinion? what's that? an opinion regarding a fight, based off things you have heard, even though you havent watched the entire fight play out yourself? that's stupid. if you dont know it's stupid, you're stupid.

your initial point is groundless. you didnt even watch the whole fight.

what kind of stuff do people around here think?

His style doesn't make cutting off the ring a focus. If you watch him fight, he does his best work in the center of the ring where he can maximize the handspeed advantage he usually has. He bounces on his feet and tries to keep em turning in attempt to open up his angles.

emmanuel isn't the cut you off and push you to the ropes swarmer type like many thought. The Timmeh fight was further confirmation of that. Timmeh, who doesn't even have a great jab, was able to keep emmanuel at bay with it. emmanuel look like a puncher in there, not a swarmer.
