Yes his hands and feet are slow compared to prime Ali. His upper body movement isn't that great especially when his primary defense is jump back lean away, and put up his long arms. If he had great upper body movements, the fight with Wilder would've been over much quicker, Wilder was wide open for slipping and countering. Leaning back, or occasionally ducking isn't great body movement.

If he'd had that, plus an imperviousness to psyching, sure he would be right up there with Louis, Holmes, and 60s Ali, no doubt in my mind. He was a great, great fighter in the 80s.

Mike could be psyched... a fact that would bode badly for him against Ali. Clay would have been withering toward him.

I'm not even sure the Zaire-Ali couldn't beat Mike. He was still SO ring smart, so adaptable. I'd put Mike as an even chance against FOTC Ali, or any fight after that...except Zaire. Ali was amped way up, in remarkable shape...I don't care about the ring ropes, etc. He was ON in a way like never before or after. I think he would have taken Mike that night, too. Even Louis and Marciano, maybe.

I still say FOTC Frazier beats EVERYBODY. And that Frazier alone.

PLENTY are more efficient with their footwork than Louis! It only worked on people that would stand still, or move very seldom.

Even if you don't think he had good defensive movement, he would by no means get whooped like Terrell.

How would he do against Tyson Fury? I think he just ain't big enough for him.

Frazier would have beat the 6'7 Wilder because he stays on the center line after punching and Frazier would have hoked at him whenever he did that, so it`s not the size, it`s just that Fury doesn`t have a stationary head after punching so it would have been a lot harder for Frazier to catch him with hooks after he punched.

Fury would have done quite well in the first four rounds, probably even landing some nice shots (enough to shake the sweat off Joe's head). But even the determined Fury of Wilder II would have been repeatedly chased down by FOTC Frazier. I see the first four or five rounds getting mostly sweeped by Fury, despite crunching blows to the body by Joe. After that Frazier starts chopping him down. Much like what Mark said, but Fury would go down more than once past the 8th round and be useless by the 12th. Staggering and getting caught by the hook seemingly at will, the ref saves Fury in the final minute.

With all respect, anyone in today's world can showcase a fighters highlights in video splice it together , ( repeat the same sequence multiple times) add some "ROCKY " style music, and make a fighter look better than he actually is. Yet that entire video you made, not one time, he slipped and COUNTERED! And that's the video you showcased. Look, it's your opinion, and your welcome to it. But look at the greats of yesteryear, you may get by once, twice, or more times flailing away, repeating the same combinations but sooner than later a great fighter would've stayed in punching range slipping or parry, make the opponent pay big time for repeating mistakes. Looking at highlights is good for a couple minutes of excitement. Watching the entire fight, watch the fighters every move is what count.

That performance against Cleveland Williams is the high water mark of Heavyweight Boxing.

Even Foreman? I don't think Frazier had the style to beat Foreman, I think he'd've lost 100/100 to Foreman, not discrediting him, still one of the G.O.A.T s
