How will history view the Klitschkos?

I am not a big fan of theirs by any means, but in 10-20 years how do you think they will be viewed? Granted, it is not a great time for heavyweights but that is not their fault.

 

dominant in a mediocre era full of fatties and/or wusses with questionable losses to b and c rated fighters. or old fat ass a rated fighters. limited, boring fighters.

so mediocre. wlad might crack the top 15 or 20, but probably not. well. hopefully not.

 

Dominated in an era of very poor Heavyweights and were not entertaining

 

wlad should do well he is a decent fighter who is dominant

vitali on the other hand isnt in the same breath as his brother

 

Dominant in one of the weakest era's for heavyweights. Wlad will be remembered for being a highly skilled big man, with a weak chin and losses to journeymen in the first half of his career. He will crack the top 15, but not the top 10 all time.

Vitali will be remembered for being the tougher, more aggressive brother. Though his injuries and the nearly 4 year break will bring him down a notch in my book. Though H2H he will and should be always favored over his younger brother Wladimir.

 

They will go down as highly regarded fighters. They have no options to fight at any other weight class so they can only beat what is there. Vitali is the greater of the 2 IMO

 

Unless something extraordinary like spectacular beating Haye happens, they will be viewed like now, on ESB. From **** champions in weak era to great champions unlucky not be able to proove themselves vs ATG competition.

Vitali's story has pretty much been written. A very good heavyweight who had a great fight with Lewis and may have been great if he hadn't lost 4 years due to injury.


Wlad, on the other hand, has some wiggle room. The early losses, in my opinion, will be largely mitigated if he can retire with the title. Right now, he has 8 successful title defenses and 12 win in a row. If he reaches 10 wins, it will be nearly impossible to deny his legacy. Really, I don't care how weak the era is, if you have 10 title defenses in a row and 14 consecutive wins, you're a dominant fighter.

I've never understood why the Klitschkos aren't even considered on most people's P4P lists. A guy like Nonito Donaire is ranked highly on some lists. Aside from Vic, who did he beat to warrant such a high ranking? I'm not saying to rank them #1, but they've beaten lots of guys and dominated.

 

Very good, maybe great heavyweights stuck in a very weak HW era. A half-step below Lennox Lewis, who is a step below Ali, Liston, Tyson etc

 

I think Vitali is a better and tougher fighter than Vlad, and Vit was going to lose to a Lewis who was slightly past his best.
