Wow great analysis, your hate for Bute make you blind... Bute has good chances against everyone in the Super Six. I wouldn't say that he's a huge favorite (except against Froch) but he has his chances in every fight.
I dont see him beating Ward, Kessler or Abraham under any circumstance outside of an act of God. I think even someone like Dirrel could beat him on the cards. I think Bute could beat Froch for sure though...Carl Froch has to be the luckiest Brit on the face of the planet.
Doe's AA could simply put that punch on Bute? Bute got better movements then all the boxer you mention.
Bute would make it to the semi finals as one of the higher seeded fighters. He might not make it as the top favorite but I think he would handle Dirrell, Froch and Taylor with ease. Likewise for whomever replaces Taylor. I would favor him over Kessler because I think we've seen that mobile fighters will give Kess a hard time. Abraham is iffy because of the pure power Abraham possesses in both hands. Ward? I think it depends on whether the Kessler domination is a tease of greatness or the real deal.
Bute definitely belongs to the best SMW and the tournament would have only been complete with him taking part in it, but I honestly don't think that Bute is better than the guys who are participating. He's on the same level. There's no clear favorite. I'm rooting for Abraham, but he's not Superman either. He's always a good chance, because of his punching power, but nobody can say what will happen in round two, you can only predict what could happen...
Would`t be for the first time, you forgot one the matches with Miranda when he was close to defeat but showed big heart and finished in the battlefield.
I appreciate your humor but I don`t share enterely your opinion, my friend of Texas. At this phase, I think Ward hasn`t got the experience of beating Bute, but will have a 50/50 chance in two years. Besides, I think the reverse : Kessler and Abraham would need o very good day, each of them, cumulated with a very weak moment of Bute (like he had in the first match with Andrade when he really had health issues before the fight - and a lot of critics come back then without knowing was an exceptional situation) to beat him.
He beats Froch, Bika/Green/Taylor. I think Ward beats him (styles). Dirrell, Kessler and Abraham are pick-ems.
Interesting seeing that the tourney organizers have said the opposite, that he wasn't invited..... I actually like how Bute matches up vs Ward, alot of his attributes seem like they'd nullify Wards strengths. Southpaw, handspeed, footwork, counterpunching, range all make me think Ward would have a diffucult time. I'd be suprised if Ward could KO a 154 lb fighter.
By the way, no matter the results, Ward will have all the fights of the tourney in US. Bute will finallly fight in the US. So ? I don`t agree amricans who say, the boxer X didn`t fight already in US and after that, the big fights their boxers have are in their homeland. Seems to me pure hipocrisy. Remember B.H. , who at the press conference before the Calzaghe fight said J.C. didn`t fight previously in US. He was stunned when the british manager answered to him that himself didn`t fight previoudly in UK either. HOW CAN BE U.S. NEUTRAL FIELD WHEN AMERICAN BOXERS ARE INVOLVED? Not to mention the result between J.C. and B.H. IN U.S.
