I think that with the right breaks he might have been a short term belholder.

    Think Chuvalo vs Ramhan.

    Think Chuvalo vs Maskaev.

Think Chuvalo vs pre Peter Wlad.

Also he would have been verry marketable today.

    Limited in boxing skills ????
What the **** do you know -- not too ****ing much.
    Chuvalo was text book.
    Aways with his hands up.
Never got hit on the chin very much --- contrary to what most think.
Used his jab to set up his big punches.
    Short hooks and right hands.
His only short coming was that he was a straight forward fighter.
    Always in great shape.
Today he schools most of these so called contenders.
    Walks them right down.
