How would you react if manny fights Ortiz after Floyd beats him?

No differently than when Floyd fought Ortiz after losing to Maidana or when Berto fought Ortiz after losing to Maidana.

But of course for *****s, Ortiz won't be officially softened up until he loses to Floyd.

 

I would be disappointed with Manny . Hopefully that doesnt happen . I want to see Pac/Bradley next at 140 pounds .

When you have this situation where two top talents in one division are fighting common opponents, people tend to try to justify how their favorite is the better fighter by how that opponent was beaten.

It's a no win argument in my opinion. Those that like fighter A over fighter B will claim that fighter A softened the guy up and he was not the same opponent when fighter B fought him. Thus making fighter B's victory seem less significant in their argument.

Then if fighter A destroys the opponent and fighter B barely gets by, A's fans will claim fighter B is not near the talent claimed.

Truth is, those type comparisons don't mean squat. How many times have we witnessed this scenario. Fighter A beats fighter B--------fighter B then goes on to beat fighter C---------but fighter C beats fighter A.

Styles, motivation, etc. make fights. Tony Tucker fought Buster Douglas in 87 and wins in 10 by TKO. Tucker goes on to fight Mike Tyson in 87 and lost a 12 round UD. Fast forward to 90' and Douglas is KO'ing Tyson in Japan. You just never know.

No, I don't. But I also don't see a fight that would be as defining for him or Mayweather if they don't ink a contract and end this foolishness.

I, like many other boxing fans would like to see them do this before their talents erode with more years passing by and still no fight. In my opinion, them fighting 2 or more years down the road holds little excitement from this fan.

 

Pacman is punk ass mother ****er if he does that.
