But look at who Hrgovic is fighting next weekend. A guy who a crippled well past it David Haye stopped with one punch which resulted in De Mori being slouched on the canvas needing oxygen. He may as well fight some random bloke from the crowd next weekend they couldn't do any worse lmao

Zhang was so tired he basically couldn't raise his arms the last two rounds of the fight. Hrgovic still couldn't put him down. I think Zhang has the biggest heart in all of boxing (refer to his fight against Jerry Forrest - a fight that should have had him in the Hospital Emergency Room before the first round, not after the tenth) - but Hrgovic couldn't get him out of there even when he wasn't throwing anything useful.

Also, Zhang has significant, ongoing issues with his feet/ankles/heels (calcium deposits, I'm told) and his form can and does vary from fight to fight.

Yeah, a replacement for Bakole, I mean should have Hrgovic begg Sanchez who rejected him 2 times to fight him, or Kabayel? I dont think Makmudov would turn down that fight but I didnt see him calling Hrgovic out aswell.

I mean you spit on HRgovic opponent, why didnt you spit on Fury post Wilder carer, being a lineal champion who fought contenders in terms of Whyte, Chisora and non-boxer, are you kidding me, Hrgovic is no-one, go spit on Joshua for lack of competition, or even worse Wilders entire CV.

He was tired because he lacked stamina, fight is not judged on first 3 rounds. Neither could Zhang put Hrgovic down. Hrgovic doubled the punches of Zhang, yes he couldnt KO Zhang, but what is more likley, Zhang being a stone chin, or Hrgovic being weak?

More excuses for Zhang, Hrgovic father passed away, he wasnt in there metally, what is your point? Are you on chinese copium? You are pure spitting on Hrgovic, disregarding everything he went throu in that fight.

Anyways, despite your fanboyism, I give props to Zhang who accepted Hrgovic fight, unlike AJ, Joyce, Bakole, Ruiz, Sanchez, Martin, Kabayel, McKean (first order), coward Parker, Wilder, Gassiev, Whyte, Chisora and Wallin.

Have no idea what people see in him or why he was ever rated as elite level....never seen it.

Parker apparently ducked him because he didn’t want to take the short end of a split vs the person no one knows about.

Hrgovic has himself to blame in a lot of ways but if he gets the title then his tactics will have paid off as the belt will give him the leverage to cash in properly.

BS, he wanted 70/30. He denied a challenge, and first Hrgovic level opponent KO-od him easily.

He is not UK or American, he will never be a cash bringer nor will any promotor bet their money on him, it is what it is. Its up to him to take the belts and when he does, I hope he will guard them and fight once a year against subpar opposition like Wilder and Fury did.

Hrgovic should have taken the 30% and announced himself to the everyday fan that has heard of Parker by beating him

Fighters like Parker and Hrgovic come from relatively small markets. That means promoters can struggle to make money with them. That means that anytime they take an L - there's no guarantee they can ever line themselves up for a title shot again. They are "conveniently" overlooked.

This is why Parker avoided Hrgovic.

This is why Hrgovic is fighting Mark de Mori.

Don't talk wet, he's fighting a dude that is ranked 400 in the world, so are u telling me 398 others turned him down? Get real. Hrgovic is in the who needs him club, he brings nothing to the table and is fighting a guy that David Haye iced with his first punch 8 years ago. Also he blatantly lost to Zhang.

    Agreed.

OP just has some connection to De Mori or a love affair with him because he lives in Croatia.

He shoulda hanged em up years ago.

Not denying Hrgovic was avoided but in what world is De Mori a good opponent and better than anyone on Wilder’s resume?

He’s a complete journeyman and stands no chance, Hrgovic could have found someone better.

I get not taking a risk given the mandatory situation but you'd think it would be someone like Jermaine Franklin, not Mark De Mori. Franklin would have at least been tricky and given Hrgovic a workout. Perhaps Hrgovic's team were shook by the McKean performance, which was poor given McKean's form beforehand. Or maybe they think Hrgovic needs an early KO to get his confidence back.
