The Mosely fight solidified my Pick of May by decsion, albeit competitive.

But come fight night I will be betting money on May.

But as I'm sure most of us are, I just want this megafight, to actually be legendary and unforgettable... but most superfights tend not to be, ecspecially nowadays it seems.

I can't wait till Floyd gets Top Ranks hype machine and breaks it into peices in front of all his fans! Seriously Pac fans, have you EVER looked at your fighter without hype goggles? 2-1/2 years ago no one even dared to mention Pac in the same sentence as Floyd and all of a sudden he's the best thing to happen to boxing :patsch?

2-1/2 years ago he went toe to toe with Marquez going to a decision many feel was supposed to go to Marquez. Then he beat Diaz, Drained DLH WAY past his prime, ****ed up Hatton, Drained Cotto who had no corner whatsoever and had looked horrible in his last fights and last but not least a walking punshing bag who threw like 10 punches all which hit Pac right in the face...

Seriously, I'm telling you guys this so that you don't get caught up in the hype. It is easy to get carried by herd of fans who know **** about boxing and are only Pac fans, not boxing fans.

That's because Pac has catch weighted his bigger opponents.

Mayweather will lose a few rounds early, then he'll adapt and win the rest of the fight. Mayweather by 9-3 kind of UD

once mayweather adapts he rarely loses a round from there on and thats my fear for pac in this fight. Once floyd finds the right formula he goes to it constantly and is very workmanlike in that sense.

Oscar, Clottey, and Hatton were "catch-weighted"? :huh

Cotto weighed 145, a pound less than his last fight. :scaredas:

    I agree.

I've seen people adapt before and do well, but Mayweather is ridiculously good at it. It's one of his best abilities in the ring I think, mixed with his pure boxing ability.

Pac's high output will probably throw May off for the first few rounds, and then it will get interesting.

Once May starts landing his straight right, and jab at will, then we will see how well Pac adapts now. Because as of recently Pac hasnt even had to think about adapting in the ring, only having to keep up his punch output to get his man outta there (Diaz, ODLH, Hatton, Cotto and pretty much Clottey). And NONE of those fights I just mention for Pac, were in the realm of Pac needing to readjust his gameplan to secure a victory.

Pac not needing to readjust does say alot about his skill, it could mean he's just so damn good he overwhelms and doesn't need to readjust. It could mean weights were effected etc (whatever a critic would say) causing some of the guys Pac's fought to be at a disadvantage before the fight even started (ala May vs Marquez). But I do know this, Pac will not be able to overwhelm May like he has his past 5 opponents.

I think you are half right. Mayweather doesn't have a weak chin; however, if he gets hurt while fighting Pacquiao he won't be given the chance to recover. I see this going one of two ways; either it will be a KO win for Pacquiao or it will be a UD for Mayweather. I see the Pacquiao KO being slightly more probable.

That being said I wouldn't be surprised if either of these guys made it look easy... Floyd could end up dancing and jabbing without Manny ever getting close. Pacquiao could end up throwing so many punches at such a speed that Mayweather ends up drowning in them and drops early on in the match. Thats what is going to make this match so damn exciting...
