Hughie Fury v Samuel Peter

Do you understand that Fury made him miss all the time and he resorted to fouling because of his frustration of how elusive Fury defensively was?

I agree that Fury was somewhat of a let down in his attacks though. That said, Peter looked far too durable for Hughie to hurt. He needs to develop his power and has @CutThroatFade said earlier in a post, he needs to improve his distance when throwing too.

 

There are times when the end result (in this case Peter missing all the time) will cause disagreement in respect to the cause. I didn't think Hughie looked particularly brilliant defensively; I just thought Peter looked dismal.

 

Sometimes it’s harder to look good against opponents who don’t have a lot to offer. Hughie is not the type to throw bombs from round 1 so it was always going to be awkward although I did think Hughie would get him out of their early because of Peter’s immobility.

I remember when Dave Allen boxed Jason Gavern and it was one of the worst fights of all time just because of Gavern’s approach to the fight.

Hughie did what he needed to do and presumably was well paid because of the mental purses that were flying around for the main event.

On to the next one.

 

One of the worst fights I've ever seen. And all the holding and pushing down was Wlad like from Fury. Totally embarassing.
Then his post fight interview was even worse.

 

Very dull fight.
Hughie should be fighting the meaningful fights at domestic level instead of fighting these types of opponents. He should be fighting the likes of Chisora, Dubois, Gorman, Joyce, Price, Allen etc, contesting the British and commonwealth titles.
