I have the same feelings on this as I did Murray-Rosado

It will be a horrific watch. ****ing awful. And not at a high enough level to pretend there’s brilliance to it like a Rigo fight.

But in terms of actual matchmaking, it’s pretty good. The right sort of fight for both guys to be taking.

Hughie is most boring fighter to watch, much worse than even Okolie.

I still have nightmares of Hughie vs Parker.

Wach would be Hughies best career win so far.

I'd actually like to see Hughie v Usyk.

The guys Hughie has lost to (Parker, Pulev, Povetkin) would all still make my top 15 right now, and he didn't do that badly, to be fair.

And i'm very ashamed to say i paid for that (yes i was one of the 20 people who paid to watch that garbage). I'll never live it down. Last time i paid for any boxing.

Heard on good authority Hughie is on standby if Pulev pulls out due to corona etc. Hearn needs AJ out this year, Fury can be sold to the casuals on the basis he is a Fury. Also a very low risk opposition with next to no power. Very smart move by Matchroom.

That makes sense, smart move by Hearn. Especially considering Pulev has pulled out of a fight with AJ before and that when Miller failed a test they had trouble finding a willing replacement (Ortiz, Kownacki and Whyte all turned down big money offers).

Can't say this one excites me to say the least 12 rounds of boredom definitely going to the scorecards.

If Pulev pulled out, Hughie stepped in and won it would be the best early Christmas present ever, imagine the scenes if the Humble One lost to Hughie!

That could turn into a stinker, nobody has ever looked good against Hughie. The guy has horrible punching technique when he tries to go on the offence and little power, but he's a spoiler and mover who makes everyone look bad.

That's why it would be so good. Eddie trying to sell that rubbish, people buying into it, Joshua looking confused and frustrated as he struggles to land that Hollywood punch that Stormzy wants for his next music video. All the while this is happening Hughie is doing a Joshua when he took the Saudi money, the same Joshua that took the moral high ground months later. Running from the bigger man all night, Hughie flicks out and lands enough without getting hit or engaging to take the belts hostage and become the hardest to sell British Heavyweight Champion in history. The quiet traveller with a skin problem and a face more like Chunks than David Gandy. It would quite possibly be better than Tyson stopping Wilder.
