Watching is a bit better then not watching at all..but still does nothing to train muscle memory. If you train you next learn to do moves with little resistance...in a sense that is were Hogan would have been...not going live...but knowelgable about the moves and the body mechanics needed to execute. Hogan in 1984 would not be a MMA champ or even contender..but given his strength and basic knoweldge of the moves and positions of catch as catch can wrestling, he would be hell to deal with on a small time local show level for most guys at that level.
Again in regards to watching..yes hogan wasn't actually trained for combat....but what he did would still be more valuable then watching 10000 hours of UFC
In 4 seconds? Half of that was his opponent dangling his arm out in front of Hogans face whilst throwing his 'punch' well out of range. There maybe be a few examples that Im not aware of, but 9 times out of 10 countering a strike (and I use the term loosely) in such a manner would never work in a MMA match anyway. Im sure even a guy on a small town show wouldn't get caught in that
Harsh; it's not like he lost it by squandering it. He had a nasty divorce, then spent a ton on his kid's legal bills.
