And how do we know that for sure. Did you not see Pacquiao Marquez, or Castillo corales? I bet If joshua ruiz was in the UK Joshua would have earned a 3rd round TKO. Fight was stopped prematurely without giving Huni the benefit of doubt. He could've been stopped another 10 seconds later, or he could have survived the round and won the next two. We'll never know now.
Mick Francis was very unhappy. Huni is just the type of character who doesn't like to make excuses. I'd love to see a rematch because of how the fight was playing out.
It seems Huni worshipping will continue. They will keep saying: "Ref counted fast and robbed Huni, otherwise Huni would finish Wardley off". Wardley literally destroyed Huni. The count was legit.
About legit , maybe a slightly fast count but a good judging of the referee since the shot was massive enough to hurt huni beyond the count and no need to take him further punishment . Of course , if huni would be usyk this would be a low blow with 5 minutes to recover .
There was still a minute or so left in the round aswell, which is a long time to survive against someone like FW who would've gone hell for leather for the finish as he'd have known he was well behind. Do we really want to see Huni knocked into the shadow realm like Clarke was in their rematch, because that would likely be the outcome.
Yes. It was clearly a quick count - the dodgy Queensberry ref obviously wanted Wardley to win. Compare this count to the long count in Fury-Wilder I. By the way, I had placed a bet on Wardley, so I didn't want Huni to win. But I've always hated the dishonesty of Fish Eyes' referees. Usyk-Dubois: One knockdown is all Dubois will need to win by KO, and he will be permitted to head butt and low blow as much as he wants.
Boxed at amateurs in my young years . Nothing special , club level . Won some good fights and lost some . I can tell you : when being knocked down and standing up just with your instincts a referee who waves it off is better than a ref who lets it going and waits until you kiss the canvas hard . Its a sport , not a slaughter .
