I like Maurice Hope to outbox Vazquez & take a UD victory. He boxes well & should stay out of trouble. Vazquez will have his moments, but not enough to sway the judges. Felix Trinidad .Vs. Terry Norris @ 154 Lbs. 12 Rounds.
So hard to say, both can win by stoppage. I always felt Norris had that ability to hit while moving, which would somewhat be the style Oscar would use to success (in my opinion) against Trinidad at welterweight. Even when Trinidad moved up through the weights he never once learned how to cut off the ring at a great level. But imo this line of thought is ultimately academic, as the terrible one wants to fight more than he wants to box, and like i say he can stop Tito. But i am also of the thinking that trading with Trinidad for a vast percentage of boxers in history from 147-154 pounds is a mistake. Trinidad hits a big shot and then uses them accurate skillful punches and subsequently finishes it in my opinion. Emile Griffith vs Oscar DeLa Hoya at 147.
Tough match. Emile would make Oscar work harder than any opponent he's ever had. Nip and tuck action the whole way. with De La Hoya's power being the only difference. A late knockdown or possibly a TKO would swing it Oscar's way. In a close affair. Roger Mayweather .Vs. Ken Buchanon @ 135.
Buchanan was at least as good as, if not superior to Uncle Roger in just about every category save power. Buchanan by late stoppage, if not comfortable UD. Eduardo Lausse vs Rodrigo Valdez
I think Buchanan would beat him, he possibly gets knocked down and loses some rounds, but too good and too clever a boxer in my opinion. On points, although he is very capable of stopping him. Erik Morales vs Lupe Pintor at 122.
Valdez for me, i see it as a very tough battle i think after that Lausse footage you showed me, but Valdez is not shy of a tough as nails type fighter, he takes it on points for me.
Morales has the disiplined boxing style to keep Pintor at bay. A stiff jab coupled with the powerful right hand would carry Erik to a UD victory. Whenever Pintor tries to rumble, Morales' power should back him off. Erik Morales .vs. Jeff Chandler @ 122 Lbs.
I don't know. I think Valdez should be a little shy against Lausse. Who's incredible power could stun Rodrigo & cause a major upset. Tough call. Valdez could tip toe through the minefield & get a close decision. But if wants to rumble Lausse could catch him late for a late round stoppage.
Wow you're throwing some tough ones about here mate. Well Chandler picks up plenty of points early simply due to his long range skillful stuff. But i think that Morales starts to get his own tempo going after a bit, and pounds out a decision, he would be able to hit Chandler and he has some very accurate stuff, even if later on his career he looked just right-handed at times, at 122 he was a bit of a force of nature, the young Morales. Israel Vasquez vs Daniel Zaragoza at 122
Yeah it's possible, i haven't seen extensive footage of Lausse, but Valdez seems like a man with heart to me, just thought he could possibly edge it, but you might be right on this one.
a total slugfest. Zaragozas better skills wins this bruising fight by UD but close as hell similar to Marquez fights Omar Naverez vs Dave McAuley
McAuley was a good boxer, he might struggle with very fast hands, and Narvaez is good on the outside, i don't know. Narvaez on points? Seen as though we haven't seen him get beat. Fidel Bassa vs Ivan Calderon
I would look for Calderon to edge this one. He is an underrated boxer, who has the skills to pull this one off. But it would be tough to keep Bassa at bay. Naseem Hamed .Vs. (Hall of Famer)-Barry McGuigan.
Hameds unorthodox style gives Barry hell of a problem but Barrys relentless pressure is a good thing Naz starts well and drops McGuigan coming in early, mcguigan then re groups and work and workls and works and takes a controversial SD Ill throw it back out
