I think the possibility of Curry getting ko'd is very very live, but the skill factor means that Curry can maneuvre around him landing the scoring shots, which he would need to land to win. I really think Trinidad canwin this to be brutally honest, some accurate shots find their mark when he is way behind on points is how i see it.

Typical of Judah, he starts out fast. establishes a jab , pulls ahead on points. Then falls apart. Cervantes completely takes over late. for a UD decision win.

A tough one.

Napoles smoothness troubles Arguello early on but Arguellos patient body attack starts shining threw in the later rounds, slowing down Napoles.

Napoles' smooth boxing skills has him at an advantage, constantly beating Basilio to the punch. Carmens brawling style opens a nasty gash on Jose's left eye. A squeemish referee stops the action in the thirteenth, with Napoles ahead on the scorecard's. Basilio TKO 13.

Joe Calzaghe .Vs. John Conteh. @ 175. 12 Rounds.

 

Conteh gives Calzaghe a beating, through and through. Calzaghe would not maintain success anywhere in this fight.

Baby Jake Matlala vs Myung-Woo Yuh

 

Calzaghe too active, aggressive and rugged. Conteh boxes clever early but is overwhelmed and drops a fairly one-sided decision.

Thomas Hearns vs. Julian Jackson, 154 pounds, 15 rounds.

 

Baby Jake takes it in a close decision. Yuh has his moments, but Matlala comes through down the stretch. Yuh fights hard toward the end, to turn the tide, but doesn't have the power punches to do so. Matlala 15 Round UD.

Roy Jones Jr. .Vs. Jake LaMotta 15 Rounds. @ 160.

 

I'm taking Jones, regardless that LaMotta is more experienced, Jones fights a safety first fight totally and gets the nod.

Fidel Bassa vs Shoji Oguma

 

Hearns has the luxury of using his Boxing ability to stay out of danger. Catching Jackson with a hard counter punch. Once Jackson is hurt, forget about it. Fight over. Hearns by Knockout somewhere between five & eight rounds.

 

Tough one that was. Even Robinson's ultra smooth boxing skills weren't enough to get by LaMotta. He needed his sturdy chin too. I don't know if Jones has that luxury.

Good fight, I like Oguma to keep the pressure on and take this one. Bassa is tough, but I like Shoji in this one. UD victory.

Roberto Duran .Vs. Terry Norris at 154. 12 Rounds.

 

You'd have to say the inconsistent Norris could win this, he'll do well to emply some movement though, otherwise i thik he'll get beat. Norris.
