I heard the Conteh Lopez fight was somewhat close:huh Ok I know that Contehs prime wasnt that long but i do know that he was pretty talented but even a prime Conteh isnt in Moores Class Moore ko9 Conteh Gabriel Ruelas vs Rocky Lockridge at 130 Im talking about a pre jimmy Garcia version of Ruelas the one who beat Leija for the title Against the Lockridge who bombed out Roger Mayweather.
To be honest i remember him but havent watched him since he fought Saad Muhamad when he got Kod but I was like 10 so i guess you are right. Ive read up on him a litttle bit,but i definitley know just about everything about Moore and have seen a number of his fights. Why do you think Conteh would beat Moore?? If so give me your take. Also give me your opinion on a prime Gabriel Ruelas vs Rocky Lockridge at 130 the one Ruelas who fought Leija and the Lockridge who Bombed out Roger Mayweather.
Stop reading Boxrec and watch some boxing. Conteh was f'n awesome, and showed enough in what I believe to be his 'key performances' that he could hang with dangerous punchers. Personally I feel Moore beats him, but you should watch Contehs first fight with Saad Muhammad, Contehs puts in a final blistering performance, outboxing and outfighting Saad at points until Miracle Matthew pulls it out again with a late round surge. Even then, I would not disagree with someone who scored the fight to Conteh. I personally had it for Saad by two points or so.
Lockridge. For no reason other than to move onto the extremely hard-to-pick and possibly the greatest fight we'd see- Flyweights: Pascual Perez vs Benny Lynch
:good Perez is more sturdier and tougher than Lynch but Lynch has the bigger punch. I can see Lynch starting fast landing some shots flush on perez that puts him in trouble but i see Perez getting his quick feet moving into mid range and letting Perez hit with both hands before spinning away. Lynch lands soem shots but has limited sucess. I can see Perez dropping Lynch late on as he finishes stronger due to his body work. Pone Kingpetch vs Chan Hee Park
I'm not certain Lynch has the bigger punch, remember the Dai Dower K.O for Perez? Without seeing too much of Kingpetch and without seeing the Canto fight for Park I don't want top comment, don't think I've seen either man at their best (though the Perez HL's and the Espedas fight are all **** hot)
Lynch was a massive hitter, i remember reaidng that before Dower got KO'd by perez he got KO'd in a British Title fight (or something like that) and his chin was never the same. **** forgot you hadnt seen Park vs Canto 1. This would be a great fight IMO technically.
Still that was savage, and Perez could clearly bang. I'd say they may be the two hardest hitting Flyweights ever to be fair. Park vs Canto I need to see really.
Wait a minute, don't dismiss the Ruelas-Lockridge bout so easily, It would be a war, not to be glossed over. Both fighters like to engage in phonebooth warfare. Give and take on either side, but ultimately Rocky's powerful right hand being the key difference, taking Gabriel out somewhere around the eight or ninth round in a spectacular slugfeast. Howard Davis Jr. .Vs. Meldrick Taylor. Battle of the speedsters.
Yeah, that's what I thought, But Taylor was indeed green. Davis was not that far past the Rosario fight, still pretty much in his prime.
