It was over two years after the Rosario fight. He'd just lost to Joe Manley in his bout prior to Taylor. He was definitely not in his prime.

See that the Holidays havent mellowed you out and that you are being an ******* and wannabe know it all as usual. You really got to quit and these Boxing record accusations. Reading alot of your posts i am 100% positive that ive watched a hell of alot more fights than you have. I admited to only watching 1 Conteh fight. Big deal i know ive seen lot of fighters you havent seen.
Then you show you really are an ******* by picking the same winner as me :patsch WTF was all the **** talking for if you had the same opinion as me:-( In fact when i did see Conteh get blown out, wonder what you were up to, Probably swimming around in your daddys nut sack.

They your little punk ass pretty much bypasses the Lockridge vs Ruelas fight. Probably have not seen much of either ha:think Thats allright just admit it like I admited to only watching 1 Conteh fight.
Remember Ive watched a helluvalot more boxing than you have and dont forget that:yep

Can someone with some Boxing knowledge give me your take on a Ruelas vs Lockridge fight?

:good Thank you La Califa I asked for knowledgable boxing guy and I got one. That guy Fleaman doesnt know that Lockridge Ruelas fight would be a helluva war and pretty even matchup, I can see your view. However the Ruelas that beat Leija for the title was very good and looked to be a future great in that one. Lockridge was kind of Hot and Cold like when he let an Old Gomez out hustle him(although controversial).
Im gonna have to go with Ruelas by decision.

Well Davis was slightly past it but he looked to turn it back in this fight with Taylor. Taylor was a little green I think he had like13 fights. I remember the announcers thinking Davis won, I personally thought a Draw was fair. Okay im definitly taking Taylor in a rematch he seemed to get better, even against a prime Davis Taylor takes this by a Competetive but convincing decision. Although Davis s height reach and almost equal hand speed might always give Taylor trouble.

If Tommy can fight a disiplined fight as against Foreman. he should be able to pulled off a decision win.
Arreola, although a good brawler, can be outworked by a patient , disiplined fighter.

Okay i can see a Morrison and Arreola fight going either way. I agree with your opinion, that if Morrison fought a disciplined fight he might out box Arreola, However if Morrison brawls with Arreola(chances are that he does) i think Arreola could Knock him out. It might be a wild and early ending. I can see both going down but I think Arreola has the much better chin and the killer instinc to finish off Morrison once he hurts him. Remember Morrisons great brawl with Hipp? Well Arreola is a bigger version, maybe a little better and harder puncher.

As for Bejines well i think he was a good puncher and boxer and very popular in LA. He was slightly ahead in his bout with Davila before that tragic ending.
Vasquez would probably be too strong and eventually KO Bejines he would come from behind to ko Bejines in 7.

Chicanito Hernandez vs Juan M Marquez at 130.

I'll admit I only saw Chicanito Hernandez towards the end of his career but I was still very impressed at his fighting ability. I think he would take it over Marquez. Marquez had a way of being on the wrong end of the judges decisions and I think this goes to the cards for Hernandez.

Marquez Hernandez would be a good technichal fight both guys were classy boxers but also like to slug it out at times. Genaro has the big height advantage and also fought well in the inside. He would take an early lead and Marquez would evern things up in the mid rounds. Sometimes Hernandez had problems with lesser fighters than Marquez though and i think Marquez would get the better of Chicanito down the stretch to win a close decision. Marquez w12 115-113

Gonzalez didnt have the best chin but he actually looked ok when he was coming up but then just went to **** after Bowe exposed him and knocked him out. Even though Gonzalez didnt have much of a chin Gomez wasnt that big a puncher either at Heavy. If this goes 10 Gomez wins a comfortable decision Gonzalez would have his moments earlierbut Gomez would out box him the rest of the way. If this goes 12 maybe Gomez stops a tired Gonzalez.
Gonzalez was sure a dissapointment i thought he might do something when he first came out,but he ended up being a bust!!

NIgel Benn vs Arthur Abraham at 168.

Haven't seen enough of Arthur at the weight, and Benn is better than both Miranda and Taylor.

Benn was more efficient at the weight and less one dimensional, but with his tight defence and awesome power I'd go with Abraham to do what McCllellan couldn't do and put that Benn away. Could go either way, as Abraham is gonna' have his arms whacked more than ever before.

But Benn could be hurt and Abraham has awesome one shot power. I'd go with Abraham but have no worries either way.

And on the basis of not knowing stuff, I always own up. Look at my remarks on the Hatton thread and my analysis of Stracey; I myself ask 'am I talking ****?' I think I'm a fairly decent poster, going by what others say.

Johanssen to patiently try & figure the akward Carnera out. then find the range for his powerful right hand about the sixth round. a series of powerful rights should bring a quick stop to the fight.

A prime Morales would smash a very young and unexperienced Early Hoya ...

maybe 12 full action rounds with a very close but clear 8-4 UD for MORRRALES
