I am genuinely concerned about Pavlik.

I'm sure you'd love to see Pavlik leave the sport. It would no doubt help you justify THE FACT that Slappy Joe ran like a little *****!

    Evening Boo:D
You should know by now i'm no hater of Pavlik, and i'm really surprised you've started the whole Joe ducked Kelly **** again. This post has nothing to do with who ducked who,its about Kelly's health/state of mind and his reluctance to fight anyone of note (or anybody else for that matter)
Whilst i read and sometimes enjoy your posts, please be objective and realistic where Pavlik is concerned, and please don't stoop to throwing cheap insults like "It would no doubt help you justify THE FACT that Slappy Joe ran like a little *****!" Do some research, the neutrals believe Kelly is messed up,be that due to the BHop schooling, the rumoured drinking problem,or other out of the ring issues.Only his fans believe the ongoing list of excuse's."Have a nice day"

    P.S i'm not a Calzaghe fan :good

At least "slappy joe" beat Bernard, Pavlik was a 3-1 favorite and he got outright embarrassed over 12 easy rounds for Hopkins.

Its a tale all too common in boxing. A promising young fighter storms the division rising to the top like a rocket ship and then suffers their first defeat by the hands of an established veteran. From there, they either lose their confidence and are never the same fighter, they immediately bounce back and remain dominant, or they continue into a downward spiral with problems outside the ring that gets the best of them over time. I hope Kelly comes back with that same heart and skill that he always displayed. We'll just have to see how it goes.

Do you suppose there is any chance at all that the rehab rumours were just that; unsubstantiated rumours, contradicted by the fact that KP made no less than 5 public appearances during the same time period that he supposedly checked into rehab?

How about the accusation of a bar room brawl? Are you aware that some drunk attacked Pavlik, Leow pulled the guy off, and that was the end of KP's involvement?

Now, please tell me eveything you know about the various strains of staphylococcus aureus. As a professional healthcare provider I have repeatedly tried to educate members of this forum. Most prefer their ignorance and opinion over facts. There is absolutley nothing unusual about the reoccurence of a staph infection.

Since Early 2007 Pavlik has had the opportunity to actually chooses only two of his 6 opponents. The rest were either title eliminators or mandatory fights. The two times KP had the chance to choose, he CHOSE Bernard Hopkins and Paul Williams.

Paul needs to do what he thinks best for his career. It is, however, very disappointing that Goosen wants to use a post ponement as an an excuse to kill the fight.

B-Hop ruined him. That was the kind of beating that fighters never mentally recover from.
To be so dominated, from bell to bell, totally takes away a fighters confidence.
Pavlik was super confident, and very media friendly before.
I dont think he believes in himself anymore.

It would be a shame if the drink stuff is true. Hope they guy comes to his senses if so. He has loads of fans, money, fame, a good family. He has everything and should not waste his life away on booze.

Hey **** wit, why don't you do a little research. Maybe there is at least an outside chance that his itinerary just might be listed on his web site. I mean **** like that does happen! He made no less than 5 public appearances at the same time he supposedly checked into rehab. I fully understand I am wasting my time typing this. Had you wanted the truth, you would have already found it for yourself.

Pavlik isnt the midwest good boy that we are thought to believe he is, as more and more of these articles come out its more revealing of the reckless hick that he is.

He is starting to be a real concern to many fight fans, especially for a guy that needs to fight much more than he has in the last year....

If these drink rumors are true, facing williams next is not a good idea. Pav is obviously mentally shot from the B-hop fight. He should just take time off, regroup and get his head together and get a hold of whatever demons he may be facing.

Facing Williams next may just very well be a career ender with Pav being blown out in less than 5 rounds.
