I think Hughie proved to punch harder than what he has being credited for.

He at least managed to rock Pulev and thats not all that bad.

But he was being outmuscled and Pulev made him show his biggest weakness instead: Strenght and stamina.

Predicting a Hughie fight is going to be boring is hardly going out on a limb. He punches like a heavyweight Paulie but without Paulie's willingness to engage.

Then post one knock out win over a never that good now totally shot Sexton he tries to load up on one shot like he's a SHW Randall Bailey. Madness.

And I have no sympathy for the likes of Cut Throat who is a man who revels in his own stupidity and bias, who despite lying about it revers someone as reprehensible as Frank 'I've been sued by a number of my fighters for ripping them off and lost' Warren.

The cut did effect the way Hughie fought..Peter told him to abandon the tactical stradedgy bc in fear of the fight getting stopped...

The cut itself didn't effect vision but it effected the approach , Pulev knocked a lot of stamina out of Hughie...punches take stamina out of you...I don't think stamina was a big issue it was more lack of someone actually pressing Hugh ie which he wasn't used to...

Parker is a smaller guy then Pulev, the 6'6 height of Hughie was less effective here and Pulev is a very accurate puncher if anything that's his best attribute and was able to deflect most of Hughies shots, he was stunned in the 8th so maybe Hughie carries some power ?

But clearly per punch he doesn't really land real solid shots, maybe it's a different fight if the cut doesn't happen but I would still see Pulev winning the way he was fighting.

I ageree. Hughie threw slow and looping haymaykers because of exhaustion. Also when you get pressed like hughie did it also most definitely affect the breathing rythm and pacing from a mental perspective which in turn affects the stamina.

Sense and strong posting as usual.

I think Hughie might actually have some power hidden away there, he's got the height to leverage it with too... However, his punch technique is just dreadful, as is his boxing IQ. He doesn't just telegraph his shots, he may as well just shout to his opponent as to what he's about to throw.
The single and only impressive thing is his footwork... When going backwards. Sadly his fundamentals are totally lacking, so combine his awful punch technique and his inability to transition defense to offense and you have a guy who can pass the odd eye test, but when all is said and done, he's journeyman level. Good opponent to gauge prospects with at this stage. I think he's reached his ceiling, despite his young age, his lack of boxing brain is too much a limiting factor.
