again, no link. i'm supposed to take your word. how does the fight being a light heavy help bhop? he spent almost his entire career at 160 and joe at 168. seems like it'd help joe.
What? You yourself have just said that by reading everything, it indicates a verbal agreement. First of all, I hate the word duck. I shouldn’t have used it. I prefer the word ‘avoid’. Second, the McCloskey fight only took place as a warm-up. Khan and his team weren’t prepared to sit idle between December and July (8 months), so they wanted a quick fight in April to keep busy. Bradley was fully aware of this and the July 23rd date that HBO had set for them, and wasn’t entirely serious about “going over there” to fight Khan, because he knew it wasn’t a possibility. So no, I wouldn’t call that a duck. He was taking a fight inbetween Bradley, as oppose to instead of Bradley. And third, I don’t think it is that unrealistic for him [Bradley] to take the Khan fight. Because if it was, he wouldn’t have initially agreed to it. You only have to go back to February when Schaefer and Dunken agreed to a deal in principle for the July 23rd date: The above quote is from Dunken. But then Bradley, having heard about an opportunity to fight Pacquiao at some point in the future, changed his mind about everything.
strictly a business move, and a smart one. Remember he's got the 1.5 mil guaranteed HBO contract. If someone doesn't step up, he's got that in the bank.
Meh. This is like the other bs that goes around Khan ducking Prescott. I hope Bradley gets this contractual pain in the ass outta the way asap so he can get a superfight. Most likely nobodys ducking anyone and most likely Khan will fight Floyd before he does Bradley. Bradley will probably get his shot at Mike Jones, Berto, then Pacman.
the plan was all along that bradley would fight alexanda anf khan would fight maidana and the winners would then face off in the summer for the right to be called number 1. bradley got through his fight and so did khan, then bradley backed out of the nogotiations. this fight in all would have generated a payday of over $1.4 million for bradley and if he didnt fear losing to khan then why not take the fight? like it or not there isnt much more of a ducking situation than this
I wana call him a ducker but i didnt call haye a ducker when setanta went bust and he pulled out of the 1st agreed vlad fight and i think bradley is havin issues and is bidin his time for financial reasons.
Nobody takes a coward like you seriously The story is genuine, if you havent seen the previous links you must be purposely trying not to look. Headbanger has posted the conversation many times. As for you saying Hopkins spent most of his career at MW you are wrong. When Hopkins fights Dawson next, 50% of Hopkins fights will have been above MW :hi:
Bradley made a bad move. But it'S not because of fear. Not ducking. But hey, you Internet tough guys know better...
Weren't you suppose to leave ESB for ever if Haye fight WLad? You bet that. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=9210671#post9210671
