Pavlik is decently skilled, entertaining and a good guy. I don't like his Ohio fanboys.

Chagaev is OKAY, but majorly a product of hype. His fight records show it, extremely close fights with mediocre fighters, in the likes of which Povetkin has yet to experience.

Ibragimov I have even more problems with.

Chambers more or less caught his attention.

Anyway, this division shows just how damn special Tyson was.:yep

There is just no getting around it. Everybody wants the new Mike Tyson.

I put in Mike Tyson's Greatest Hits a few nights back - never gets old. It might have been against Lorenzo Boyd if I remember correctly, but he threw a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the chin in about half a second. And it knocked Boyd cold.

There will NEVER be another Tyson:yep

Ibragimov is nothing special but he could give Wlad problems with his stance, movement and deceptive power. Chagaev vs Wlad is also a good competitive fight imo.

Chambers seems to have some serious tools. Like LL said he needs to go back to the gym and learn to ultilize that blazing handspeed and accuracy more. The guy landed about 60% of his punches against Povetkin but did not punch enough. If he had power it would have been VERY interesting in there.

I highly disagree, Wlad would take care of business quickly.

Chambers has potential but he has work to do on offense and conditioning.

If Wlad wins, it's most likely gonna be a late tko or decision. Ibragimov is gonna do a lot of moving, I'm sure he has done his homework on Wlad.

Ibragimov is open to a taller fighter though, open to that right hand bomb and he lacks the chin to take multiple distributions of that right hands.

This is going to end early.

Chagaev, with his superior defence, lasts longer against Wlad.

I know they are not Wlad, but Ibragimov actually did pretty good against tall fighters such as Whitaker, Briggs and even Austin.

It's no merit getting a draw over Austin, Povetkin would have iced Austin in 5.

And against Whitaker and Briggs he did well, but both are extremely slow, not quick like Wlad and lack the accuracy Wlad does with that straight right.

I am on the Povetikin bandwagon. A win is a win. He's 15-0 with wins over Friday, Donald, Byrd, and Chambers. remind me again how that is bad.

Sure, he can use a nutritionist, a weights coach, and about five more fights emphasizing defense. So get him those things before putting him in there with Wladdy.

You guys hit it on the head when you said that everyone is looking for the next Tyson. They question is why? Tyson was basically finihsed as a serious fighter at 23 (well, the Ruddock fights were good). Why not look for a guy like Povetkin who might be the next HOLYFIELD, with a wider variety of skills and a warrior's heart.

One question for anyone who is good enough to read my post: do you think that all these guys (Povetkin, Sultan, Chag, Dimenrenko) might be having power problems because they have amatuer styles, and just don't put a lot behind them?

He only needs to improve defense.

I've followed his career since the beginning, since he won the Olympics, and he's my second favorite heavyweight.
