I like Cotto but...

Mosley always closes his eyes when punching,Mayweather was making fun of him because of that.Cotto can adapt very well in fights,I see him stopping Mosley for the first time in his career.Great fight.

 

Yup, that's what got him into difficulties against N'Dou. But, Cotto showed good adaptability and adjusted, using more movement and outboxing N'Dou rather than slugging it out relentlessly.

If he could make that adjustment midfight, he can do it again if necessary against Shane. But it won't be an easy fight no matter how Cotto approaches it.

 

I'm predicting Cotto to win easier than most people think. Somewhere around 8 rounds to 4 or 9 rounds to 3. Remember I called it.

 

I agree with you a 100%, I've never seen him throw wild punches in fact almost all his punches are well placed and do damage in every place they land,ask Branco.

 

I'll be extremely proud of SSM if he wins convincingly cuz he ducks no one! However, Cotto is no joke and I expect the Rican to tap that azz! Sorry SSM, but ur time is due.

 

Mosely is already HOF material. His last loss will come against a future latin HOF in a "FIGHT For The AGES". He will be remembered for allways fighting the best, not ducking any top contender and for always putting on a great show, even when he didn't win the fight. Great respect for Mosely here for what he's given all of us boxing fans during his great career, but honestly, his age will be tested for the first time against a top notch, relentless, reckoning assaulting force, in Miguel "Liver-Killer" Cotto... Cotto by Stoppage within 10 rds...

 

I feel this will actually be Cotto's first test. One I think he'll fail. Shane is a level above Judah and several above anyone else Cotto has ever fought. As been stated several times earlier in thread, Cotto's defense is very penetrable and Shanes offense is great...power and speed. I think Shane either takes a clear UD or even a late round stoppage.

 

I'm sick of playing around now,i'm gonna tell u how the fight's gonna go,mosley will dominate the first 7 rounds and after that expect cotto and his corner to have no answer's.

Mosley will win this fight by tko,because,cotto is a bleeder,cotto cut's,cotto's lip alway's get's busted up,with all these thing's one should wonder that the moment mosley hit's cotto with a combo or clean punch,just imagine what kinda cut he will open up.

Every time Cotto is cut, he tends to climb some aggressiveness levels. If Mosley indeed cuts Cotto, he will be in for a long night. When have you ever seen Cotto desperate after being cut? He is a beast, if he gets cut, that don't even matter to him. He just hits harder after being cut. And I also would like to know if you've ever seen any Cotto opponent not needing a facial reconstruction after a fight. Everyone talks about Cotto's body attack, but he works the upper and lower boddy attack evenly effective.

Mosley won't dominate the 1st 7 rounds. To say that is to completely disregard Cotto's preparation for his fights. He imposes his game plan every time. He goes mentally prepared for anything! This will be one of those fights in which critics like you will say Cotto is not ready, he hasn't faced any one like (name), he's in for a rude awakening; then after the fight you have to come back into these forums and say, Cotto impressed me, blah, blah, blah... Do you know how many mouths he has shut during his career? Yours will be one mor to be added to that loooooooooooong list... :deal

 

Cotto always pulls through. I have had doubts in the past as to if he would win. I have learned from those mistakes. He has proven himself and I have learned to believe in him and not second guess him. I remember wanting him to win the Quintana fight but was worried about him losing.... he wouldn't blow out the slick Quintana.....I was WRONG! Cotto IS THE REAL DEAL....no question about it, definitely a tough fight but he will pull through as he always does.

 

Cotto is a very good fighter, and I respect him, but he would be smart if he adopted a style that capitalized on his natural strength, but didn't cause him to leave himself open to punishment by going for the big ko wins. He should develope a style somewhat like Dick Tiger's with the use of controlled pressure and go for decision wins on point, and concentrate on defense a little more in the process. Intelligent, controlled pressure.

Cotto is seriously out of his depth in this fights. Props to him for taking it but I fear he will get stopped within 5.

You can't put muscles on your chin and he's never faced anyone remotley as good and powerful as SSM.
