I am also very big on Wallin and was before the Fury fight. I think he would have whipped Whyte. But right now the record is not there. Hope he gets some good fights. Hammer beat Johnson after his prime, and many thought Johnson won it. We shouldn't forget that there was a time when Johnson was a legit tile contender, of a poor one. The Hamer loss was in the three-round tournaments, The are professional fights, but they are not indicative of ability.
Johnson was 33 when Fury schooled him and 34 when (pre-prime) 26 year old Hammer beat him, two judges had Hammer winning 8-2 but it was in Germany and veteran Kevin was the opponent so the scoreline no doubt flattered Hammer. But I maintain that Hammer has the better wins: I'd be very confident of Hammer beating Leapai and washed up Pianeta (both of whom gave Johnson a lot of problems) but I wouldn't be confident of Johnson beating Teper or Price. Hammer also has the advantage in amateur pedigree, being a world junior champion and beating Michael Hunter. Johnson may have had the better chin while Hammer seems to have the advantage in power.
As you like. I disagree. Johnson was a title contender and on the balance has a good body of work, recently adding Hernandez. Champions: Seldon Hernandez Contenders: Pianeta Leapai Sosnowski Notable veterans and upset artists: Hawkins King Scoiners Vargas Huamano Not bad. But if you disagree, so no problem.
If Johnson's wins without context count for his resume, don't his 18 losses without context also count against? In terms of wins, I see it as washed up Pianeta and Leapai vs post-roid Teper and Price, with the latter two being slightly better and certainly more dangerous opponents. I get that Johnson was a title challenger but he was only a small step up from the Sosnowski's and Leapai's: the absolute bottom rung of Klitschko era contenders. Whether you get a title shot depends on factors beyond your control, such as who you have to fight in your eliminators. Hammer had to fight Fury in his, whereas Johnson got his shot at Vitali after beating the utterly dreadful Devin Vargas.
Hammer's wins also have context. Price had already been stopped three times, and he really probably should have called it a career at that point. Teper was a PEDS cheat, and consequently, we don't really know how good the man was in there that Hammer beat. He certainly has done nothing after being busted. Again, not sure what the argument is about. I am fine with you rating Hammer about Johnson. I don't and an not going to unless Hammer gets a few more quality wins.
I wouldn't personally feel remotely intimidated if Rogan looked and yelled at me like that because I fear no man and I'm about that life, but many lesser men than myself would This content is protected
Martin Rogan vs Paul Gallen would have been an interesting fight in their primes. Or Lukasz Rozanski.

Good to get a recent update from Rogan as it’s not often that you see him in interviews anymore. This content is protected
