You'd rather die than give up fighting? You must have one sad life to say something like that.

Some people don't know when to turn off the tough guy act.

Dont box. The consequences for you would be far too grave, can you imagine if you're rendered basically ******ed?

If you really want to train in a worthwhile martial art, I can think of none better than brazilian jiu jitsu. Wrestling might be ok, but I'd imagine there's a higher chance of being dropped onto your head in wrestling than in BJJ.

just to make it clear, i am by no means a tough guy(to say i am pretty whimpy) but its true that if you cant do stuff you love then no point of living, just like how some smokers get lung cancer or something and then all they do is put on another cigarette right there and keep smoking until they cant breath anymore.

There are plenty of other ways he can be involved in boxing besides competing.

Personally I would do as much research possible on your own about your condition and about how taking hits could effect you along with the possibility of those things happening. Another thing that might be good, is to get a second and maybe even a third opinion to see what other doctors say. However, if they end up saying the same thing, it would probably be best that you don't participate in actual sparring or anything like that, and go with what amy said. I highly doubt that boxing means more to you then your life, and if something serious were to happen to you, it would probably not only devastate you, but anyone who cares about you, so deffinately be cautious with what you decide to do.

    A career.

So you are not talking about 1 fight, or 2 fights.

You are talking about many, many fights.

Thanks a lot guys. It sucks to be told you cant do what you really want to do, but I just cant ignore a warning like that cuz if I do it and end up with slurred speech and memory loss I would with I never did it. I will still train though, just not fight. Thanks again guys

Does not sound promising, however you should get some medical advice from a physician who specializes in sports medicine.
