Will be there to support, won't have my hopes high sadly because it's very easy to see that Roy is beyond shot. Still a decent fight to look forward to and I know I'll be watching and hoping. I'm aboard any RJJ express. :good
I don't hate Joe either, but I just love Roy so much... If he wins, I would probably be jolly. For a long while.
The problem is...Roy Jones looks like he's just happy to be there, to take part, to still be noticed. He seems too relaxed and contented and "centred"...he doesn't seem to have that edge anymore. :-( Calzaghe too looks at this fight as a farewell celebration of his career, but he has that ego and that "0" to look out for, and he wants to pretend that if he beats Jones now, it's as if he's as good as him prime for prime. If Jones wanted it as much as Hopkins did, then, yeah, he'd have a chance, but I'm not sure he's prepared to do what Hopkins did. I don't want Calzaghe to lose either, really, because it wouldn't prove much one way or another about him. On the other hand, it would put his whole career into perspective a bit more - he wasn't quite as good as he thinks he was or, at least, as good as he pretends he was. Jones is certainly the nicer guy and he deserves the happiness of the win more, so I certainly don't want him to lose this one either.:? ...So, McGrain, tell me, am I on or not?:huh
Its not so much that I want RJJ to win as that I want Calzaghe to loose. A KTFO would be nice. Or if Calzaghe wins atleast fight Pavlic. That is the fight the public wants to see.
:think Well, here's hoping. But you do need some small modicum of faith to redeem your ticket though...
I hope Jones decapitates the ****, so count me in. I'll be in America for this fight too although sadly on the other side of the country, but I'm still hoping to be able to celebrate Jones knocking this padded record Welsh **** out with all the Yanks :happy
Same here. I win would be great, but a knockout win would be awesome. I hope Calzaghe gets put on his back. :good
My loyalties are really split on this one, since I'm a fan of both boxers, but I edge towards Jones simply because he was one of the boxers who got me into boxing. However, I think at this point in their careers their styles and abilities greatly favour Calzaghe, who I think will win a controversial (but earnt) decision similar to the Hopkins fight.
How can you not want to root for Roy after seeing that press conference. He's so classy, and Calzaghe is just a *****. Sadly, things don't go that way in life, but count me aboard the express anyways!!!
